Dirty with horrible service to boot. For starters the building it's self is poorly maintained, and the restrooms are a nightmare! Parking is not bad besides other customers with no "drive-in manners". My husband and I went recently with another couple, our friends decided to pay for us and explanied at the ticket booth. The clerk agreed, then helped us next, and charged us. After parking, we realized what had happened and went back to the ticket booth. The Clerk admitted her mistake but said with out reciepts she could not help us. So we went back to look for the reciepts, and conviently we were not given any. Either of us. So we looked for management and got the assisant manager who was very polite and asked us to come back at the break. When we did we spoke with the manager, who was a young VERY unprofessional woman. We were dragged around in circles the clerk who still at this time was admitting to the transaction was not over in her drawer (of course not), so we had to argue with the rude manager and security for a good 20 minutes when my friend finally settled for two movie passes, when she wanted her money back. Now that we would like to go back and use our passes, we find out they are only good for two movie choices. We got ripped off and were treated like criminals by people who have no place given the opportunity to be in charge of such a special place. It makes me upset that no one would care enough about the drive-ins to hire decent employees. We will continue to go, but will avoid their staff at all costs....

Drive-ins are a dying breed.. I have never writen a review before, but this drive-in is near and dear to me. This is one of the last drive-ins left in America. It is getting run down due to age and the reluctance to invest any money into fixing it up, they have been saying it will close for at least 4 years now, but it is still open for now (1-21-09) (we all know how few strip malls we have, let's build another one!).

I give it a five star rating mainly since it's the only one left this side of SanFrancisco, there are none left to compare it to.

Going to the drive-in on a hot summer night is one of tha last remnants of America's great age of steel, they are going fast, there are some were around 36 drive-ins left in all of America.

You owe it to your kids and yourself to go before it's gone, my kids and I have very fond memories of summer nights at the drive-in.

I have been a summer and winter regular for years and have never had any isues with staff, the main drawback is the run-down condition of the building (especialy the toilets, they are worse then horrid!).

Go while you still can, it is totaly differant experiance from a sit down theater.

They have two small playgrounds for kids and a bunch of video games inside.

You can find movie listings at westwindpublicmarkets web site.

Kid Friendly Movies. We drive from Marysvillle every Saturday night to watch the movies, which is almost an hour away. We enjoy it and our daughter loves it as well. I just wish there were more kid friendly movies on. I heard the drive in would be closing and that saddens me as they closed the only one left in my home town. Good job otherwise............

****DO NOT GO TO SACRAMENT WEST WIND DRIVE THRU ; DO NOT PAY - YOU WILL GET HARASSED BY SECURITY AND MOVIE STAFF AND FEEL LIKE YOU'VE WASTED ALL YOUR MONEY. ****DO NOT GO TO SACRAMENT WEST WIND DRIVE THRU - YOU WILL GET HARASSED BY SECURITY** Went with girlfriend to see Pineapple Express and was expecting lots of laughs. Seth Rogan is hilarious! Bought tickets and $15 worth of food to go with my expectations of merriment. So we went from the concession stand to Lot 6. We were trying to get the best spot and found that we were being tailgated by another car with its lights on. We were bewildered. So we found our spot and turned the dial to the opening credits of the movie. The car trailing us was a buzz cut russian security guard named Alex. He asked us for our reciept. At first we objected towards getting questioned as we were watching the movie. Then we looked for the receipt because Alex would not leave. So then he said to leave. My girlfriend and I were shocked because we paid and had to leave.

We drove to the ticket stand and the ticket cashier vouched for our ticket purchase. At this time however we were missing the movie and felt we got robbed by this idiot security guard. Alex the security was not apologetic and felt justified in what he did. Derek the manager (who is incredibly short sighted) came over and explained how this GUILTY TILL PROVEN INNOCENT was proper. Said that he has a lot of "black" people who try to sneak in so he has to be really tough. He took a hard line and had a no excuses policy. Derek did not give a damn. Derek explained that what the security guard does is independent of customer service.

I spent $29 not including gas. Fu*king Alex and Derek owe me. The food was to be eaten at the movies and we did not see the movie because I had to spend the entire time arguing with Alex and Derek.

We left incredibly upset because this idiot security guard Alex ruined our entire Saturday night. We will never go back.

MOVIE SEEKERS SPEND A LITTLE EXTRA AND GO TO A WALK IN THEATRE - YOU'LL GET BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A BETTER MOVIE EXPERIENCE.

go on a tuesday night. The drive ins are worth your itme mainly because you get two movies instead of one, you can hang out with your friends, your not being bothered by other people, and you can set your self up inside the car our outside it in chairs. IF you need movie times and pairings go to ( sacramento.mrmovietimes. com ) then look for the sac 6 drive in theater.
