Still Midtowns best.
Still the best in Midtown! The food and service is consistently top notch. Kudos to them for serving such wonderful food in such a friendly way. Done right: Delightful, professional and with a dash of panache!

Best date place in Sacramento.
I love the wine selection. Not too much for vegans, but what they have is spectacular. Great atmosphere. My parents had their first date here, and my mom was so impressed, she married my dad!!! I try to make it here once a month at least. Great food!! Looooooooove the bread and the olives.

Best meal we've had in Sacramento.
We've only eaten here once, but it was our best dining experience in Sacramento by far. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Perhaps the most amazing thing we ate was our dessert--an apple tart made by the Waterboy's own pastry chef. Our server was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is great. It got really crowded/loud towards the end of our evening, but given that the restaurant kind of has an open, casual, cafe-like feel, we didn't mind. Somehow it also managed to be very elegant as well. We can't wait to go back.

You've eaten, now please LEAVE.
My husband and I dined on a Saturday night, celebrating our anniversary. The food was good but overpriced. The room was packed and the service was slow. The surprise was at the end of the meal.....at the last bite of dessert, we were asked to leave because it was busy. We didn't linger and we won't return.

Wonderful evening-amazing food.
My husband and I were celebrating a special occaision. This was the perfect restaurant to go to. My husband ordered a beet salad. He loves beets and I hate them. He figured if he got that I wouldn't eat his food. HA! It didnt' taste likes beets at all. There were all different colors of beets, there were nuts in it on organic lettuce with an amazing vinegrette. We fought over every bite. I ordered scallops which were delicious, and my husband had the lamb. He had strawberry ice cream that was incredible and i something that was amazing as well. I highly reccomend this restaurant. Go planning to spend 2-3 hours, relax and enjoy each dish. We had several cocktails, but the cost was
quite expensive so be prepared for a long delicious expensive night.

A little disappointed.
I was a little disappointed by the food here after reading such rave reviews from chefs. The quality of food was excellent, but the dishes just didn't work. The duck beast was too fatty and the basamic vinegar was overkill. The corn wasn't sweet. The mixtures of favors was interesting and bold, but just didn't quite hit my taste buds.
Also, The service was slow considering the restaurant wasn't even half filled when we entered.

Not as good as the reviews..
The food was good but the service was not great and since we were celebrating a special occasion we were hoping for better treatment from the staff.

A cool, people-watching hangout serves up French and Italian cuisine with a pinch of California fresh..
The Scene
Interesting neo-Mediterranean styling with a hint of airport hangar d?cor makes this street corner restaurant a hit with the sophisticated clientele. In daylight, sit by the expansive windows and watch the world go by. After dark, the very visible, warm interior glows from the street,
welcoming couples who look for a quiet, slow-paced candlelit experience or groups ready for a celebration.
The Food
The limited menu (only seven entrees) which changes monthly, is inspired from northern Italian and southern French influences. For starters, try the butter lettuce salad with blue cheese and tomatoes in a tarragon mustard vinaigrette, or the antipasto with stuffed olives and tasty humus-topped crostini. Unfortunately, the pricey entrees often lacked flavor and creativity of presentation. The Niman Ranch pork chop was disappointingly drab, as was the saffron risotto.

magnificent.
I love this place so much. Every special occasion I opt to eat here because it is so amazing, and it's never done me wrong. Everyone should try it. It's expensive, but you get what you pay for. And the desserts are unbelievable.
