A kid's paradise in the heart of Sacramento.. The Skinny
Until Paradise Island came, Sacramento had to wait for the annual State Fair to have the Tilt-A-Whirl and roller coaster and Ferris wheel all in one place. Now they're here at Cal Expo year-round, along with miniature golf (36 holes), bumper boats, maze, arcade and?whew!?carousel. Recently renamed The Point and newly redecorated, some new attractions have been added. New go-karts and racing cars, the Bankshot Basketball challenge, a new pitching machine and a children's gym should prove to make The Point an even better summer diversion than it was before. What distinguishes The Point from such similar amusement parks is not only the number of attractions but its proximity to Waterworld USA (also at Cal Expo) and nearby Century Theatres and Arden Mall.

The Crowd
The Point is a teenage Bermuda Triangle for those wanting to disappear into some serious recreation. Expect to see teens, pre-teens and the often more troublesome post-teen.
