Simply amazing

Every time I visit South Shore, I always go to Sprouts, it's a must do tradition of mine. I always order the same thing when I'm there, and since I can't go up often, it is always better each time. Last time I was up there I took my friend who is vegan, she mentioned it as the best vegan food that she's ever had. Which is good seeing is that she is a still recovering anorexic. Now when I go there, it's even more exciting, because she always asks to come to Tahoe with me. The location there is amazing too. Right by the lake and next to a yarn store, I love to knit during my free time so it's a for sure plus. Rock on Sprouts!!

• Pros: Waiters are always smiling and always upbeat.
• Cons: At times it can be a bit crowded, it should be bigger.

Best place to consistently get your orders wrong and give you the worst service in SLT!

Now, I usually don't do reviews like this. But for Sprouts I decided to make an exception after repeated stupidity...

First lets just say that they "do not accept credit cards" because they cost the owner too much money. Lame... seriously, I have run businesses and accepting credit cards does not cost that much and with their high priced food they can afford it.

Secondly, I am Vegan and therefor don't consume animal products like cheese or milk, etc. They have Vegan friendly items and also have the option to remove the cheese on other items to make them Vegan. But... the staff seems to lack the intelligence to implement these options, no matter what I order it's always drenched in cheese even if it isn't supposed to come with cheese on it... always... You can reorder, but must of the time they take an awfully long time to remake your food.

Third... In my experiences at Sprouts I have always found the staff to be rude and innattentive. Most of the time when I walk in the door they are too busy chatting with each other to say hi or even help me when I get to the register. Most of the employee's have little knowledge of the menu and could care less if you get the food the way you want it. If you like spending your hard earned money at places that make you feel they don't appreciate your business Sprouts is the place to go! By the way, I have noticed a lack of male employee's at Sprouts, all of the employee's are young females. You might see one, but I'm sure that's just to avoid the inevitable discrimination case.

I have lived in South Lake Tahoe now for over 3 years and I avoid Sprouts like a plague. I suppose if you are just visiting town its ok. But I recommend a place like Freshies, El Papagayo or Jalisco for a quick bite over Sprouts any day. Those places truly will appreciate your business and make you feel like a local, something Sprouts could never do.

Best organic food

Our whole family loved it! From the youngest to the aged. We stopped by after a long familly bike ride and felt right at home on our silly bike gear. We will be back...every time we visit South Shore! There are so many menu choices. As life-long visitors of Tahoe, we are so happy with this discovery. Give it a try. You will come back.

• Cons: If too crowded inside, it might be too cold to sit outside.
