Great reviews WHY????. What I discovered was Good Soup, had the 3 item combo, $13.95 a bit pricey, but if it was good then price not a deal breaker, tried the chicken , they should say what it is ,Garlic chicken without flavor. I ate half the taco, Garbage,, the enchalada sauce had so much chili powder was terrible did not eat it, so is their ground beef loaded with more chili powder, the food had no flavor other than chili/garlic, May be the shredded beef is great but did not try it, and never will because will never go back, salsa was good, have been looking for great Mex , because Louis's on alhambra had closed due to Landlords un willingness to fix that old building, and raising the lease price. so they moved out to a not good location.becoming Louis Jr.as their Dad had died. But they had to close 2 years ago.BUT THANK GOD THEY ARE BACK,,,,26th and J st. in the UC Davis building. validated parking next to LOUIS Jr. entrance on J at freeway, SAME MENU, SAME FAMILY, THE BEST MEX. FOOD IN THE STATE IF NOT THE WORLD,Lots of flavor and lower prices than Emma's TRY IT ONCE YOU WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE,,,

Emmas Tacos are Great and the Service Excellent. Found Emmas on this guide, and based on the recommendations we went right over there and tried it. The reviews were good, and it was only 4 miles from our house. Easy to get to, right off the freeway. We were not disappointed at all. We both ordered the house specialty, the tacos. For a little over $12 each, we both had beef taco dinners, which come with two tacos (very good by the way), beens, rice and cheese, and their very delicious house soup and small salad with special dressing, which tasted like ranch with chili in it. And of course their fresh chips and delicious salsa. We also ordered the guacamole dip, also quite good. We couldn't finish all our dinner but happy to bring leftovers home for snacking later. The service was some of the best I have had since moving to Sacramento 3 years ago from San Francisco. Our waiter was extremely nice and professional. We complimented them on the soup and he offered to bring us some to take home, on the house! Very nice experience and we plan to go again and take friends.
