My father and I went there today and
the food was horrible.
The service was great, but the food was not very apitezing. My father had ordered a seafood buritto, but he said that the "Burrito" looked like a hot pocket. The beans that came on the side of his plate, tasted like it was fresh out of a can. I had ordered the Street Tacos (Chicken) and it tasted not so good. The chicken wasn't very good, it was just very dried up. I thought that it would be very juicy, but its not worth it. The rice that came on the side was good. It had a very bad smell though. The chips and salsa were the only good thing, really.
I would not go back again and waste my money.Plus, the food came out really fast, so it makes me wonder if they actually took the time too cook the food.
Don't Bother. This used to be one of our favorite places to go. The last three trips was like a downhill drive. On our last trip we had to find a place to sit ourselves, we sat in the bar area. The bartender just looked at us. We had to ask for service. Three women came in and we thought he was going to trip over his bottom lip, he couldn't stay away from them. The food was luke-warm, not very appetizing. We had to find someone to get refills. It's not often I don't leave a tip but this was one of those occasions. Take my tip, there are better places out there.
Very Good!.
I haven't been there for a few years and had a friend tell me she'd been there three weeks ago and the food was terrible.
I has reservations about going with my friends that night, but went anyway. The service was GREAT! The food was very good! So I give them 5 stars. Staff was attentive and polite.
Consistantly great food-amazing service!. I love this place. I have been coming here for years and I continue to get fast, personable, great service. The prices always remain low. The bar has happy hour 7 days a week! I would recommend anyone to come to Garcia's. For those who had a bad experience, it must've been a fluke or something because I have never once got anything but great service and I have been eating there for 10 years.
Go someplace else.
I had lived near here for years never went, decided to go there before Junior prom in high school. They said they took call ahead, but then I had to wait over 30 minutes despite calling ahead. For that long wait, I got a table near the noisy kitchen, and then was promptly ignored by my waitress. The food was pretty bland and overpriced.
The only thing good I can say about it is it looks nice inside, especially when you compare it to hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurants near by (which have much better food.) While I consider atmosphere important, I don't think it counts as atmosphere if the experience leaves you regretting walking in the door.
Go to Rey Azteca a few miles away if you want really good Mexican food.
Not at all what it used to be..... Garcia's used to be a wonderful place that we weould got to all the time... Great food and service. The last two times were horrible. The resteraunt was very slow and the service even slower we had finished all of our chips and dip before our drink order was taken. We had to clean off our own table to make room by putting our plates on another table. The food was nothing to what I remember it being... We had moved away and decided to come here while we were in town. I really miss the way Garcia's used to be....
good place to go to. The atmospher was good the service was awsome and the food was the bomb I would go here for Mexican food any day
Do yourself a favor - DONT GO THERE!!!. Garcia's is close to home and I wanted so much for it to be good - IT'S NOT!!! Over the years, I have been there on a few occassions - this was the worst of the worst! Went for a Birthday Party - hadn't been in a long time.... now I remember why! Service beyond bad! Food is not hot - ordered Tortilla soup - room temperature - no spoon, which by the time the waitress brought it to the table was then cold. Had to ask three times for a glass of water. And, because we were a large group, the gratuity was included in the bill, however, the waitress didn't mention that, so she was given double tip for the worst service I have ever had at any restaurant! Seriously, McDonald's gives better service. I would give them a negative number, but, one star is the lowest you can go! I will NEVER go back. And, for soup, salad and two margarita's - it ended up costing me $35.00....... save yourself!!! Don't go!!!
Great mexican food, great service. Great mexican food and great service, great prices they even have the lunch menu on Sundays. we have been going there for years they really know how to keep people wanting to come back. Try the Pollo Funditio its my favorite.
Use to be a great place to go but going down hill fast.
We have been going to Garcia's since it opened. The food was always fresh, presented nicely and the staff was courteous and helpful. The past year the food has lost it's freshness, food put together sloppy and sometimes tortillas over-cooked. The service also is no longer acceptable as the food is brought cold, over-cooked or missing what comes with the meal ie: sour cream, salsa.
Usually there isn't a wait if you go early enough, after that plan on reading a novel. Servers don't return to fill glasses or check if anything is needed. Tortilla chips are greasy and/or over-cooked and salsa is a lot watery than it use to be. Truly a disappointment after going there all these years.
