Best Pub in Town!. My husband and I visit Palm Street about once a month! We love the burgers and think they're the best in town! I don't know what the previous writer was saying about the burgers being too small because they have a lot of meat and I usually split with my husband. The drinks are always really yummy and strong. I love the daily specials and the staff is always very friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes a casual, fun atmosphere with great food and drinks.
Not what it used to be!. I have been to Palm Street many times over the years, but it has been nearly a year since my last visit. Tonight I took my fiance for a bite and drinks. We ordered the "Knockout burger" that came with fries for $8.95. The burger was small and on a plain bun. Onion rings on the side $6.00 drinks were expensive and small. I swear they purchased smaller martini glasses and the shot I had was a small shot. In short, they have become overpriced and are serving smaller portions. I do not endorse this establishment to anyone. There are better sports bars with better food at better prices elsewhere. Seek them out!
Loyal Fans. My husband and I have gone to Palm Street for several years now. It's a great neighborhood pub with excellant food...especially when Timmy is cooking!!! We've seen waitresses come and go, but they all try really hard (usually) to give outstanding service. The few times that things have gone wrong John has more than made up for it. We've turned several people on to Palm Street and they all enjoy it as much as we do!
Clip Joint. First visit for Sunday morning football: a third of appetizers missing by the time it got to table. Menu said 6 pieces, waitress mentions 5, got 4. Soooooo next visit just ordering drinks no food. Owner throws me and wife out for not ordering food. Me and wife both in 50s and have never been treated like this before. Owner said he paid too much for football package to allow people to just order drinks. So he publicly humiliated me and wife. The tables are crammed together, volume turned to full on all games at once, so nobody hears anything but a white noise blend. Maybe owner in bad mood because he had just one waitress and a trainee to handle entire bar and serving area. I had to register to get on this site just to write this review. Never did anything like this before, but, after you've been publicly embarrassed, you feel like you ought to do something.
Game Night. Great place to meet friends for a game. Food was typical, but served hot and fast. Price was appropriate for the venue. Had a good time. Waitresses were friendly and prompt.
Great Place. Great Bar, fun place to meet people. Great service too, friendly!!
