Yummy stuff:). I went online to try to find the hours of the Citrus Heights location and saw a lot of bad reviews. I was hesitant to go since I haven't been to Leatherby's in a long time. After seeing all of the bad reviews, I wasn't sure it was worth driving there at 9 at night....but I was very happy with my experience and it was well worth the late night drive;) I was in and out quickly, the gentleman who helped me was very polite and served me with a smile on his face. I only did take out, but the parts that I saw were clean. Definitely glad it was a good experience and would still recommend it to anyone;) SO GOOD!

Not Family Friendly, Poorly Managed. In the past we have loved Leatherby's icecream and have frequented it even though it is dingy and run down inside -- but we are fed up with the poor service. We tried to use our groupon at Leatherby's and we wanted to sit and eat one sundae with our daughter and then get 2 to take home for our kids who were asleep in the car and my spouse who was waiting with them because we do not live near the store. They would not allow this because the coupon said dine-in. So we were dining in and they wouldn't let us take anything to go. I would have tipped on the full amount. Then I offered to get the sundaes and then put them in containers myself to go and still they would not allow it. I am not happy and will never go to Leatherby's again. It is supposed to be a family friendly establishment and the management bullied us and embarrassed us and made us feel like they did not want our business. When we called to complain later they were like "oh Come in now and we will honor your request," but we were already on our way home and had wasted our time and dignity on them. The manager just wanted to be a bully and to be rude. I will never recommend Leatherby's or visit them ever again. Plus their restaurant is FILTHY inside and I would not want to ever dine-in there ever. Had I seen those words dine in on the groupon print I would not have purchased the groupon. Huge disappointment, lame place and I will not be using my groupon afterall, nor will I give my business to Leatherby's again - so sad. They should take family out of their name altogether...

If you have a grandchild. Our 7 and 11 year old grandsons went nuts when we took them to Leatherbys. Huge, goopy, drippy sundays and banana splits oozing chocolate and capped in whipped cream.

If you want to really treat a youngster to something he or she will remember, try Leatherbys. If you are an old geezer like me, you could order the child's portion or more likely that grandchild will need help finishing his or hers.

Now when it is time to celebrate or reward, we know what to do and they continue to enjoy and relish it.

BEST ICE CREAM IN SACRAMENTO AREA!. Very good ICE CREAM, great food. I LOVE THE ICE CREAM, GREAT CARAMEL. Kid of expensive. Very good taste . Old school ice cream. Thanks so much!

Support the American Process. For those who urge boycotting Leatherby's - you show your true colors. I have heard several calls for boycotting by 'No on 8' members who obviously don't support the democratic process - whether it's Leatherby's, Music Circus or whatever. We should allow anyone to express their views - that's the foundation of democracy. I have not heard any calls for boycotts by 'Yes on 8' proponents - what does that tell you?

As far as '8' goes - it's simply asking for separation of Church and state. The Bible clearly states the definition of marriage, but some are asking the state (i.e. courts) to change that definition. What could be more intrusive?

I haven't been to Leatherby's in years because I've moved a bit of a distance away - but the food and atmosphere was always great. Due to the actions of the various members of our society I am going to make it a point to start visiting them again.

Great place for a party!. My Sisters-in-law had my party there recently and it was so much fun. The food was very good and reasonabally priced. The ice-cream is sooooo good and creamy. You get very large servings so sharing is a great idea! The atmosphere was perfect for just having a good time and the staff was very friendly and helpful! Don't waist any time setting up your next get together at this wonderful place.

May as well get a snowcone from the Klan.. Between the company AND it's proprietors' personal donations, $19,600 were spent to support the Hateful, Bigoted Proposition 8. This company has no desire for the gay community, or anyone of rational compassion who consider all human beings to be equal to utilize their services.

If you pay this company your hard earned money, you are supporting a hate campaign. Please avoid this place and these people. Your self-respect and dignity is paramount.
