These roadside restaurants, now numbering in the hundreds, have been winning over the West since 1983. More polished than the average greasy spoon with homey wood accents and hanging plants, the casual surroundings are suited to families celebrating a special event or making an occasion out of a regular dinner. They'll find classic American dishes and more--breakfast omelets, shrimp-and-steak combinations and spicy chipotle mayo burgers, with the bonus of caramel-pecan-cream-cheese and country apple pies for dessert.

Good & Consistent. Bakers Square was one of the first chain restaurants in Davis. Over the years they have served consistent good meals to me and my friends. I particularly like the breakfast menu...the skillets, to be exact. Yes...sometimes 3 eggs is a bit much for breakfast...but what's a little indulgence every now and then? The service has always been good at this location, even during busy times. Finally, and I know this isn't specific to this location...but I just love the Bakers Square strawberry pie they have during the summer.
