Excellent Indian Cuisine. Great Indian food. Atmosphere is pleasant and service is excellent. I love the lunch buffet. Prices are reasonable.
Delightful experience every time I go!. Katmandu is a wonderful little place where prices are reasonable, food is above par and staff very attentive. The food quality for Katmandu in Sacramento exceeds the Davis restaurant, tho atmosphere in Sac is less romantic. I highly recommend the saag gosht (lamb & spinach), or the vegetarian alternative w/cheese. All dishes are delicious and staff extremely pleasant. You'll enjoy either lunch or dinner, no doubt.
Great food. I had a wonderful experience at Kathmandu Kitchen this weekend. A group of us went in because we had a friend that suggested we try it out. Right when I walked in everyone was very friendly and helpful. We had to wait about ten minutes but it was worth it. The food was flavorful and well presented with large portions. Our waitress was very helpful with suggestions and gave us great service, we will be returning very soon.
Mediocre food, too expensive. Although there are no better Indian food choices in Davis, don't waste your money here. The food was mediocre and it is expensive. I am used to the deep flavors of Indian food, and this food tasted almost bland. Spicy-hot does not make up for the deep flavors of Indian cuisine. I admit, I am vegetarian so I only tried the veg dishes. My husband is not, however, and did not find the meat dishes much better. We have given up on Davis for Indian food and drive out of the area for this treat.
Best Indian Food in Town. This place is a tad bit expensive, but the best Indian place in around. Note, it has a Napelease twist, so it wont be your run of the mill Indian cuisine. The meat dishes 'ala carte' are unsurpassed, and the Na'an is always hot, soft and flavorful. The vegetable dishes and dessert are something to be desired, but when we go, we usually just stick with chicken and lamb anyway. Try the Lamb Vindaloo, traditional lamb curry, or chicken tikka masala. If you like spice, you should LOVE this dishes. Give it a try.
Pretty alright!. The buffet is pretty good:) It is better than the other Indian Restaurant in town!
Tiger says:. I know the owners personally now, after having eaten here many times. I must say that it seems the food gets better every time I dine. Outstanding taste, service, and ambience. Bravo!!
Raqvi's top of the charts. I have eaten at dozens of Indian restaurants across the country, and this India-Tibet-Nepalese spot is wonderful. I have tried probably a dozen menu items here and whole heartedly endorse: beigan bharta, dal makhani, chicken makhani, shrimp vindaloo. The samosas (veg) are great and the dal is excellent. The buffet is also grand, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is warm. I moved from CA a month ago and will always miss this place, will probably spend many years attempting to replace it. Thanks Kathmandu!!!
