There are some very interesting people who show up at G Street Pub (bikers, Bob Marley look-a-likes, students, hippies, etc) which makes it a fun contrast to the other Davis bars that are strictly students. The drinks are good and cheap. Sometimes they have decent bands and charge a cover. Monday night is karaoke night - it is practically American Idol quality.
