Silva's Sheldon Inn...one of our favorites!. Wow, what a wonderful experience. I would suggest you enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine at the bar before dinner. Very relaxed atmosphere and food is superb! Personally I would order the Rib Eye. My wife raves about the home made peach cobbler. It is really a sleeper that is down home and a comfortable dining experience. Bring your friends and enjoy a nite of fine down home dining. Kudo's to Doug and Barbara...we love it!

Great Food and ambience. We've eaten here for years. We live around the corner in Sheldon and love this place. Great food, lovely, rustic and fabulous people. All you need to do is request something and it's yours. We are foodies and love beautifully prepared food and this is where you get it and it's so close to us. We've eaten around the world in world class reataurants and this is equal to or greater than most.

DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH.. Best kept secret. If you are looking for fine dining that is out of the normal expectations, try Silva's. Exceptional food and service.

A sequoia among saplings. Silva's Sheldon Inn stands alone as an established and traditional fine-dining restaurant among a city full of cookie-cutter chain restaurants. Their utilization of seasonal product is refreshing, and their herbs are taken straight from their abundant and ever-changing vegetable and herb garden. For example, summertime brings their garden-grown heirloom tomato and mozzarella appetizer; in the wintertime, you'l love the pumpkin cheesecake. The filet mignon and rib-eye are always cooked perfectly to your request. If you're not up to those, then the skirt steak is a wonderful alternative. Portuguese bean soup is their specialty soup and is infinitely better than "mmm, mmm good." If you want sweet breads, you may want to call in advance. Silva's Sheldon Inn is great for the family (better, though, if your children are well-behaved), or a night out for just the two of you. My family and I love Silva's Sheldon Inn and will continue to be patrons there for years to come.

nice house converson. Way overated seems the more we went the worse it got will not return.The food is at best average I hate to say it but its true and my wife is good friends with the owner.

The way food should be.... There are not many places a person can go theses days and get the highest quality food with reasonable prices. But than you find Silva's Sheldon Inn and remember how real food tastes. The owners (both cooking in the kitchen every night) are both reasonable and knowledgeable. The wines list is carefully chosen by the chef and the menu changes to use what is in season. The fish is a fresh as can be and all of the meat is cut by Doug himself. Barbara uses good old fashioned technique when determining which desserts to offer and keeps it seimple but oh so good.

After eating at Silva's, there is absolutely no reason to tolerate poor service and microwaved food again.

Silvia's is great. Silva's Sheldon Inn is a great place to go if you want a good atmosphere and hard working employees. It is off the beaten path but worth the trip there. I had heard of the Sheldon Inn and took my friend there and was suprised by the service at the bar (which we had to be there for awhile) (but we were told that we would be there for 15 minutes...turned out to be about 35 plus) We did have a good bartender and did enjoy the whole experience. We will be visting soon in the future. Thank you for a very enjoyable time. 14 thumbs up!!
