Natomas. As others said, he was polite, professional, and courteous. Based on what I had read here, I asked him to fax a written estimate to me, but he explained that he was on his cell at the time and it would take awhile; he assured me that I could count on the price, which he did remember and honor. Not only did he move the two pianos well, but he seemed well-versed in the makes and models that he was moving, which was impressive. Highly recommended.
Excellent Service - Would Recommend. Matt moved my full-sized upright from Roseville to Natomas with less than 24 hours notice. He was on time, polite, and professional, and he didn't try to charge more than his phone estimate, even though I had forgotten to mention a step at the pick-up site. I will definitely use his services next time I need to move.
Great job. Matt and his guys did a great job. Not only did he move our piano, but I also hired him to unload our moving van as well. They were fast, careful and very easy to work with. His pricing was reasonable, and his crew all were great. I would highly recommend Matt to anyone looking for piano (or other) moving services.
professional, courteous... would refer him in a heartbeat..
Matt moved a baby grand piano that has been in my family for 30 years from Shingle Springs to Rocklin. His estimate was less than 2 others companies I contacted. Usually that is a red flag but when I read the other reviews and he explained exactly how they would be transporting my piano and it would be insured; I decided to go with him.
He only needed 3 days notice. He was on time, very careful, friendly and honest. The entire set-up took less than 20 minutes! They were very professional.
I would reccomend him to anyone looking for a good piano mover.
The Best Piano Mover Around. Matt has moved dozens of pianos for me ( a former and very picky Professor of Music at the largest music school in the USA) and I have never had such a careful mover as Matt; he is honest, friendly, and always treats my instruments like they are the finest in the world! I would never consider using another company -- having had one or two very bad experiences with movers who have no idea how to handle valuable instruments -- but since living in California, I will only use Matt Vogt. Money is my last concern when moving high quality musical instruments, .but Matt is always fair and I think quite reasonable in that my pianos are safe in his hands.

When I called Matt, I had two pianos I needed moved: one a console, the other a baby grand. At first, we thought the console would be upstairs and the baby grand downstairs and he quoted me $395. As it turned out, the grand needed to go upstairs and the console downstairs. I called him to inform him of the change and asked him the new price. He asked me what he had quoted me in the first place (first red flag) and I told him. He then said, "Oh, not that much more." I asked, "How much is not much more?" He kept saying, "Not much more. I'll need one more person to help me." He never gave me a price.
When he delivered the pianos, my brother-in-law was there (who had had no conversations with Matt and didn't know the quote). When my brother-in-law asked him how much we owed, Matt told him $595.
I called Matt as soon as I heard this. I was very upset. He said he'd "think about it" and let me know if he'd give me back some of the money.
Where I'm from, 50% of the original price does not constitute "a little more".
Buyer beware.
Fantastic, quick!.
I called to get estimates from both Jimmy's and Matt Vogt piano moving services. Both places asked me the kind of piano, if there were any stairs involved, and the distance of the move. Jimmy's quoted me $150, which was very reasonable. When I called Matt Vogt's they said their lowest rate is usually $149, but that he would go down to $129 since my move was less than a half a mile.
Matt and his assistant, Mike, were professional, courteous, careful and quick! The whole move took just over a half an hour! And, we asked them to move another large piece of furniture on the spot, which they did, no problem.
I would HIGHLY recommend their services to anyone needing their piano moved! They did a fantastic job.
Superb pianomover. Matt has moved my 6-foot grand piano twice. Once was about 45 miles and the other just from one room to another. He did a great job both times. He arrived on time. Was very careful with my treasured piano and around my home and furniture. His appearance was neat and clean, like a true professional, and was able to communicate clearly with me. There were no unanswered questions or concerns before or after the move. I recommend him to others at every opportunity.
Excellent piano movers. After the first moving company I called failed to show up on time, I called up Matt, who showed up at the door in 25 minutes! (He happened to be in between jobs and had a break.) He and his assistant took extreme care with my piano and with the houses. I am thrilled with the service, the promptness, and the price, which was about $50 less than other companies were quoting me.
Quick service. Matt Vogt piano moving did a great job moving my small sized upright. They were on time and courteous and did a very quick professional job.
