We here at Jasper's on Madison & Dewey are under new ownership as of December 2012. We have improved many aspects of this place, from the fresh clean paint job to the higher quality food! We have set the standards high for ourselves, and we hope you'll give us a chance to show you what we're made of!

Good burgers but slow and expensive. I live near this Jasper's and stop in for a burger about twice a month. It's a frustrating experience, because the burgers are good enough - and varied enough, with a dozen specialty options - to keep drawing me back, but the service is very slow. Today, for example, I stopped in for an Ortega Swiss burger and a regular double cheeseburger. They were slightly busy, but not more than any lunch place in the hour after lunch. It took a full half-hour to get my food! I am used to a full ten minute wait even when the place is empty, but this took so long I almost canceled my ($13.00) order. I finally figured out why, after many times observing them: they only prepare one order at a time. There are almost never more than one order's patties on the immense grill - they do each order, start to finish, raw patties to delivered order, before starting the next. If you're not in a hurry, and if you don't mind shelling out close to twice what takeout burgers usually run, Jasper's is great. Their selection of unusual combinations like ortega chiles and cheese is wonderful. But every time I think to go there, I have to decide whether I really have the time and patience for what are, in the end, just good "roadburgers.:"

Worst burger joint.. The last three occasions I went there , the food was horrible, fried mushrooms were undercooked, my malt was powdery and the philli I ordered was mostly onions and not meat. This is sad because Jasper's used to be my favorite burger joint. It also appears that the owner's are trying to cut cost by watering the ranch dressing down. Jasper's used to be worth their long waits, now I will probably never return. Jasper's has really changed for the worst!

Good Burgers. I love small burger joints. Johnny Rockets and Mels are not adequete. Jaspers has juicier burgers for cheaper. It is NOT a restaraunt. There is no service at all. You go up and order your own food. It is just a great place to get juicy burgers instead of going to Mels.
