A Sad Day For the Sunflower.
for lunch at about 2 pm 1/21/10 My girlfriend ordered a Falafel, and I ordered a Nut burger and a banana milk shake... (by the way, the banana milk shake was fantastic... as usual).
we didn't even make it to dinner... something felt wrong.
we were both poisoned. Food poisoning! I don't know what it was exactly, but I know for sure that it WAS the food from the sunflower. nothing else we did that day could have brought on what happened next...
every last bit of everything came flying out my ass at the speed of light! I spent the next 5 hrs on the toilet. my body ached, it was the most horrible feeling in the world! My girlfriend... was throwing up for 4 hrs straight, her Dad took her to the E.R. and they filled her with fluids... today is the 23rd, almost 48 hrs later. I feel better... she is resting peacefully, and it's sad, but true.
I can never go back to the SunFlower again. EVER!
and I love those banana milk shakes.
but if a natural foods restaurant can not serve "CLEAN" vegetables, "CLEAN" sprouts...."CLEAN" onions... (which is probably what did it) then I don't want to eat it.
there's no "and's if's or but's" about it. obviously what goes on behind the counter is NOT CLEAN ENOUGH!!!!
Because last night I could have sworn that my girl was going to DIE!!!!! She though she was going to die...
and what now...
well... I write this story that's what... and it's true....
and I'm wondering if anybody else got sick that day.
Thursday... 1/21/10... anyone else?
Screw the Sun Flower! and those jerks who work there!
I bet none of them got ill from eating that day...
because they probably eat what is fresh and serve the old stuff as fast as possible...
vegetables need to be kept COLD!!!! they rot fast!!!!
and I just don't think they realize that.…
Sunflower Drive Inn makes me drool.
I started going to sunflower drive inn when my son was 2 he is now 35. wow. I have since moved to far away to go there every chance I could. but when I go to calif. on trips sunflower drive inn is
one the first places I go to.
I miss their food especially the nutty tacos are to die for. Just thinking about them makes me drool. I have tried to make them myself but have never been close. I have introduced everyone I have known when I lived there and still hear reports of their visits. When my dad would visit me sunflower drive inn was one of his request. He is an avid meat and potatoes kinda guy but those nutty tacos got him every time. If you go, eat a nutty taco for me. charlene…
Superb vegetarian restaurant, friendly service, high quality food, tasty. Best vegetarian fast food around --- terrific nut burgers ---- huge menu choices, reasonably priced, fast, friendly service, will custom make to your preference - a must to eat at when in Fair Oaks.
Best Nutty Taco's, Good service and don't mind the wait.. I have been comming to the Sunflower Drive- In for 20yrs now, I love the food. Favorite is the Nutty Taco with extra cheese and a #5 smoothie. Yes, you do wait a long time for the food,but well worth the wait. Thanks Sunflower employees, keep up the good work. God bless…
Best restaurant in town!. This is my favorite place to go on a nice afternoon for a delicious bite to eat with a friend or two. I have been going here for more than ten years and have tried just about everything on the menu. Everything is delicious, but I always go back to the nutburger. It's not just a burger.... it's really special. I have never had any complaints about the service, if I happen to every get the wrong item, I think I'd eat it anyway because I know it would be great. Service is slow, but its expected. We call if we are in a hurry, otherwise plan ahead. We usually walk over to the park or even a little further to the red bridge by the river. LOVE THIS PLACE. It's better than any other vegetarian restaurant I've been to. AND everyone I introduce to it gets hooked. If you haven't tried it, please do. Just make sure you have a little extra time. :)…
