Players Sports Pub & Grill

Players NOT. Probably a cool place in 1980. Yes, they have 32 tvs. They are small, and the few bigger ones don't look clear. The crowd was mostly of the retired age. The few younger ones looked like gang member wannabes. Drinks are expensive, a tap beer ate the better have of a $10 bill. I'll invite friends over to watch my 65inch tv and drink a 6pack for less than a beer there.…

I love this bar. The Players Pub and Sports bar are among the best in the industry. I have travel all around the US, Mexico and Hawaii. On every trip I usually end up in the sports bars recommended online and by the locals. I have found a few here and there that are as fun and friendly as Players, but only one a select few been both. A few worth mentioning are Jacks Pub in Dallas (now closed), CK’s in Phoenix and at least for the male crowd I don’t think anyone can beat Bikinis in Austin or Charlotte NC. However the one thing I can say that sets Players apart from the other great sports bars is consistency! Year after year Players somehow maintains a “Cheers” type environment. The establishment is staffed with about every personality type you can imagine, someone if not everyone on the staff will make you smile and feel welcomed.

Be sure to visit both and find the bar that suits your mood best. Keep in mind that if you are in a more relaxed mood Players Pub (up the hill) is generally more of a relaxed feel with patrons typically ranging from 23-35. They do not have the kitchen on site, however they do make several “food runs” and offer the same menu items as Sports. Players “Sports” does have a wider age range from 21-70 and is a louder more typical sports bar atmosphere. You will often see the regulars splitting there time between the two locations saying hello to the crew members and friends as if they are family and it is Christmas.

The drinks are rumored to be a little pricy, however if you compare apples to apples you will find that they are right in line with other bars of this quality. If you are looking for Elx Lodge or dive bar prices, mixed drinks tinny glasses, you don’t care if the pool cues are straight, the floors are clean and your arms don’t stick to the tables then just find a dive bar. But if you are looking for a place to take a your date, show your in-laws a good time, have a girls night out (without guys acting like total dirt bags) or just looking to unwind Players is a great choice.

For a great time...Player's nails it!!!. If you want to have a good time, get a good drink, eat some great food, watch ANY game, and/or just chill.. this is the place to go! I've been there MANY times and always had a good time.The bartenders there are AWESOME! In fact the entire staff is very friendly. It's kind of like "Cheers"...only ALOT more fun!!! Lots of hotties workin there as well as coming in to have a good time. Dancing on the bar may occur!! They have so many TVs its crazy...and some of the highest quality audio/video equipment, including 3 HD big screens. The drinks are awesome...i should know! They have a great menu, with food being served til 1:00 am. FULL MENU!!! The karaoke there is a blast! That's on Fri, Sat, and Mon nights. They also have one of the sickest patios in town(big screen TV and foozball included!). This is a great place to come get a great lunch, get a beer(or 10) after work, go out and listen to to great music(karaoke or juke box), and just have a great time. This is one of my two favorite bars...the other one being Player's Pub... Which just so happens to be right up the street at 9729 Fair Oaks Blvd. just west of Sunrise. See ya there!!…
