China House Restaurant.
We had eaten there a few times and the food was OK. Since Jenny's palace is no longer, we settled, avoiding comparisons. The atmosphere is just about as warm as the service.- 2, on a scale of 1 to 5 -
As tastes and colors may not be argued, we do not contradict anyone who likes that place.
However, last night, we bought two take out dinners. The chicken tasting awful, had to be old, the appetizers were oozing with oil, the rice was dry and the vegetables were old. Out of the whole dinners, the only edible thing was the beef.
I called the lady who took my order at the restaurant and complained aboutf the poor quality of their food.. She obviously could not care less, simply said that "she understood" and made no attempt to make good.
The fact that the three times we patronized that restaurant, it was pretty dead at dinner time, should have been a clue.
If she would have had the decency to at least say she was sorry, it could have been the end of it. Instead, when I told her that she had to be aware that the food was old, she did not deny it, only "understood".
By then she had been paid, for something which was not worth it to her customers. No need to care, just to "understand".
It probably is a good thing to be understanding in her restaurant because when she will have nobody else to take money from in exchange for old food, armed with her comprehension, she will not be surprised.
