Sutter Street Grill is the place that you dream about when you picture fresh food, huge portions, and a down-to-earth menu. This is the place to go for a huge omelet, biscuits and gravy, or cinammon roll french toast (w/ 1/2 a cinammon roll on it!). This place is great!
Pros: good food, plenty of parking, inexpensive

I'm rather pleased to nominate Sutter Street Grill... that means that all of Sacramento isn't standing outside waiting for a table. Tho the decor is rather outdated and the building itself has more character than granny, the food at Sutter Street is unrivaled if you're looking for a good old-fashioned lots-of-meat and carbs breakfast. The portions are huge and even the lightest breakfast is more than substantial. Mid-week visits will have a table waiting for you, but weekends will leave you chatting with locals outside while you wait to be seated... and it's well worth the wait!
Pros: Large portions, Inexpensive, Fast service
Cons: Unmatched tableware, Ambiance is basic, Fast turn-over
