Very Happy mom of a 3rd year student.
My son has attended since he was two and is currently in Transitional Kindergarten. My nephew had attended this location previously and still continues to come after school, picked up by Action Day
from his school and brought back.
When my son was two I knew he needed a place where he could grow and learn in a hands on environment tailed to his age. This was the only school that provided perschool for 2yr olds and not just plain daycare. That first year my son's speech delay and social interaction issues were overcome and he has transformed into a well adjusted, very social and smart child. Thier implimation of the Transitional Kindergarten program fit his personality perfect, being just a step up from Pre-K; which they also offer.
It will be a sad farewell this summer as we move into the school district we currently live in. I have driven him to folsom, a good 30 min away, for the past 3 years and it is well worth it! Had they offered higher then TK, we'd still be coming back :) as it is.. he will come back for summers and holiday breaks for sure!…
Absolutely Fantastic. My son currently goes to Action Day learning center, and has for the past year and a half. All of the teachers , the director and the owner are all so very warm and caring. Their love for all the children shines through everytime I walk into the center. Since our son started at ADLC, my husband and I have noticed so much emotional, academic, and social growth. It makes us feel so wonderful that we can go to work knowing that our son is in a "home away from home".…
Wrongfully Accused. I have children who attended Action Day for over 10 years and we loved their experience there every minute. Not many daycares in Folsom if any can say most of their staff have been there at least 5 - 10 years. That says alot about the school and the owner. Many changes have happened over the years and all have been for the good. Not only does the owner put her money back into the school inprovements but does a lot "behind the scenes" for her staff and parents. These are the things that keep her staff there for so many years. Not every school is perfect but I feel the staff and owner have done everything possible to give the children of Folsom a safe, fun, and nurturing early childhhoood experience. I continue to recommend Action Day to friends and neighborbors and people I meet to this day even though my children no longer attend.…
Great Teachers at center dispite some issues here and there.. My children truly enjoy the center. the center is a converted home and recent improvements, as with any more improvements could still be made. But that type of stuff has to be paced. At times the ratio of teacher to toddler/preschool may be out of sync but not for extended periods of time during the day. I have never been worried about it. The teachers really care about the children. My children had an opportunity to go else where but did not want to leave the center. My only issue has been billing with the center whether payment has been by check, automatic withdraw or a bill pay system, it does not seem to track with the centers system. The billing dept system is inconsistent with regards to the committment to the business, and applies expections to clients but not the same set to the billing dept. which can present challenges. Yet, I would not remove my kids from this school just because of that. I feel the costs are competitive for the services & location of the center. My kids were at a previous center, brand new buildings but you know what; even there some of the same concerns & issues are present. My billing experience was better; but because the center was new I too had higher expectations. A child will bloom where they feel most comfortable, new or converted home. Just wanted to share my take on this center. if you are looking for a center, let your kids be the judge.…
Buyer beware...of the owner!. Our children went to this school for after care and summer school. It is an older, converted house. The center owner does things as cheaply as she can. The A/C in the summer is uncomfortably warm. On any given day, there are not enough teachers to watch the children. There are black widows found on the premises and at one point a group of children were playing with it. We called the owner on numerous occasions to discuss a problem we were having. We left three messages - never returned our call to discuss. The teachers are good, and do the very best that they can with such a lackluster, selfish woman as a boss. Her center suffers yet she drives around in her large, expensive car. Decide if your children deserve more attention before taking them here.…
