Great place for young kids.. Fairytale Town was fun when my husband was a child and is still fun for young kids today.

Visit your favorite fairytales come to life at this low-key amusement park..
The Scene
Back in the days before videogames and huge theme parks, there were places like FairytaleTown: small-scale amusement parks that offered kids low-key thrills. This example, across the street from the Sacramento Zoo, is still a charmer despite its old-fashioned aspects.
The Attractions
As its name implies, Fairytale Town's attractions are chiefly based upon old children's tales, so kids can climb in the Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe's footware and walk on the Crooked Mile. There's also a barn (with some animals), a pirate ship, a castle and other play settings. Puppet shows and performances are typical weekend events.
