What a disappointnment. A Very, Very disappointing return visit! I ordered a seafood dish and asked for it mild, because in the past, mild meant still really hot. It took 20 minutes to get my food, which is okay if it's busy and the food is worth the wait, but that wasn't the case. There was only one other customer. First thing I noticed was the plate didn't look appetizing. I looked around at what seafood was in there, well 4-5 small shrimp, not at all fresh looking or tasting. There was a lot of mushrooms and baby octopus that was all torn up, not fresh. There was a bunch of shrimp paste dumped in. I found a hair in my food and lost my appetite. I put my napkin on my plate and pushed it away. The waiter came over and asked how it was. I told him not good. He didn't care. He went to the register, charged me almost 16.00? I left no tip, because the service and food was terrible. What a waste of time....
My Favorite!. This tiny place serves the absolute best thai food in the Sacramento area. There's not much more that needs to be said. :D
Superb Thai Food.
I love Thai food, and this is my favorite Thai restaurant. If I want decor then I go to Basil Thai in Lincoln, a truly beautiful setting. But Pattaya has better food, and is much more centrally located. If you are vegetarian, their tofu dishes are excellent. The food is healthy, and will awake your tastebuds. Don't go there if you just want to pig out. Order mild if you are not sure about the heat level, since this can't be measured. I usually order medium, but my wife wife gets mild and she claims she likes hot food.
Parking is occasionally inconvenient, but is easily overcome. I always order take-out, and the food is always fresh and waiting for me. As others have noted, for some reason it is very difficult to locate this place, even though it is right on Watt Ave, north of 80. It's tucked away in a strip mall, just south of A Street, in North Highlands.
Best Thai food in Sacramento. This is a hole in the wall place but it is so freaking good. Do not take a date here. Instead pick up the food and take it home and serve it. My mother is Thai so I'm soooooo picky about Thai food and this place is so yummy, delicious, fantastic, Gooood fooood.
Highly Recommend. Wow, what an incredible find. My wife knew about this place but she hadn't been to it in almost two years. If you don't know that it is there, you will drive right by it. It is truly a little hole-in-the-wall thai restaurant. I had only tried thai food once in my life many many years ago so I really didn't have much to compare this to; however, every single item we ordered was VERY good. HIGHLY recommend this place. It is a tiny restaurant with not more than 8 - 10 tables. The parking in the area is atrocious. Be persistant. Find a spot and go to this place. The man that waited on us (he is always there according to my wife) was so kind and polite. He was very patient with us and we asked questions and looked through the menu. The food is authentic and VERY flavorful. They have take-out as well. The sodas there are served straight out of the can. Be ready for that. The food came out very quickly and it was so good. We are going back again and again.
Excellent food. I recommend the boat noodle soup, or the deep fried fish topped with ground pork. The food have a great flavor but they dont give you enough and the prices are on the high side.
Most authentic Thia in Sac town!. If you're looking for authentic Thai cuisine, this is the closest. Very close to the Thai I tried when vacationing in Thailand. Hole-in-the-wall joint run by a family (wife/ mom cook, hubby serves). Homely and very hospitable. YUM!! Must try the rice paper fried shrimp as appetizer, the Larb and the Beef with beans. My mouth waters each time I think of this place. Be careful with the spice levels- ordering hot would be insane- they dont mess around!
