The Scene – Both the bar and dining areas are dimly lit and stylish, with jazz music playing subtly in the background. High ceilings, dark stained-wood booths and marble-top tables round out the masculine decor. The patrons are generally well-to-do, ranging from couples to business executives. Each course arrives promptly, your water glass is constantly refreshed, and the servers are knowledgeable and efficient. – – The Food – The Portobello mushroom stuffed with sweet rock shrimp and spinach is smothered in cheese and tastes divine. For dinner, prime rib is a must.…

Disappointed

My husband and I went to Carvers for Valentines day and while I found the restaurant nice and romantic, the food was very disappointing. We had the filet and lobster for dinner. The filet was tough and had no flavor. I even had to put a little salt on it! The lobster was fine and the potatoes were good. Salad was not that great and they wouldn't let you choose your dressing, weird. Cocktails were good and strong. I had a giftcard that was from the old company (Paragon?)and they gave me a bankruptcy form to fill out since they don't accept those cards! What a joke! I can make better steak at home.
- Pros: Ambience, service
- Cons: food
Great Overall experience

This is one of the best romantic spots is Roseville. It is a bit expensive and I recommend that you make a reservation in advance. You can make a reservation the same day so call ahead to avoid waiting. The food and service was excellent. I recommend the Stuffed Mushroom appetizer.
- Pros: food and service
LOVE IT

This is one of our favorite places to have a good steak. I really enjoy dining there late, when its less busy and a little more quiet. But even in the middle of the dinner rush, I've still been satisfied with the service and meal. We love the good old-fashioned service that most other restaurants now lack!
- Pros: Service and great food!
- Cons: Sometimes it can be noisy
Wonderful steak. Always left feeling satisfied.

On the 3 occasions that I have been to Carver's, I have always been extremely pleased with my meal. The filet mignon is superb, cuts like butter, full of flavor, extremely tender and melts in your mouth. The service has been very good, even when crowded and the staff pleasant. Atmosphere in the booths is very nice.
- Pros: Excellent steak and nice ambiance.
- Cons: A little noisy at times.
Carvers has gone downhill!!

Just left Carvers. Took my wife there for her birthday. Took a nice bottle of Champagne with us. The restaurant did NOT have champagne glasses! Waiter told us the Manager said to use port or sherry glasses!!! Meal was above average but EXTREMELY noisy!! They have valet parking. When we picked up car from valet, someone had been sitting in it, playing with radio, adjusting A/C and seats. TACKY! Of course valet manager denied everything! This restaurant is not as good as it once was....there are many more in the area worth going to besides Carvers.
- Cons: You can drink champagne from a beer mug...they don't own champagne glasses!!
