It's a big-city steakhouse in the middle of suburbia.. The Scene
Both the bar and dining areas are dimly lit and stylish, with jazz music playing subtly in the background. High ceilings, dark stained-wood booths and marble-top tables round out the masculine decor. The patrons are generally well-to-do, ranging from couples to business executives. Each course arrives promptly, your water glass is constantly refreshed, and the servers are knowledgeable and efficient.

The Food
The Portobello mushroom stuffed with sweet rock shrimp and spinach is smothered in cheese and tastes divine. For dinner, prime rib is a must. This generous cut of meat is thick and flavorful, and goes nicely with a side of sherried mushrooms or sauteed onions. The hot and cheesy au gratin potatoes are comfort in a dish. Carver's also offers roasted chicken, Norwegian salmon or shrimp scampi. The salmon is particularly good, served in a flavorful basil-mustard sauce.

Out of Ribeye Steaks.... I went to Carvers on Wed. nite and they ran out of Ribeye Steaks at 6pm. For a steakhouse that suppose to be ranked high....how could they be out of this steak when it is on their menu twice....I was very disappointed with this situation since that is why I went there in the first place...for a ribeye steak....won't be returning soon...

This place is the best!. I was on a business trip in Roseville and we went to Carvers for dinner. From the first appetizer to dessert, the food was outstanding. I am a very picky eater and want my food prepared exactly as I order it. This rarely happens on the first attempt at most restaurants, but Carvers got it right the first time and everything was excellent. I ordered the Filet and was able to cut it with my fork alone, which shows me how tender their steaks are. I highly recommend Carvers for a wonderful dining experience

The best of everything. The New York Steak and the Filet are both fine grades of beef, prepared as instructed. The service is great, too.

Consistantly Yummy!. Took my wife to the restaurant on a whim. We ordered the Filet Mignon, and it was the best steak we've ever had! It always has the same great taste and flavor. This is what keeps us coming back. We live in Elk Grove, and it is a long drive to Roseville, but it is worth it! We try to eat at Carver's every couple of months. Dana likes the Lobster & Filet dinner. I always stick with the 8 oz. filet mignon w/rice and get a caesar salad. The servers are always very courteous and helpful. Make reservations so you won't be dissapointed.

classy. We always pick Carver's for special occasions and have never been disappointed. With reservations we have never had to wait. With growing population in South Placer, we definitely make use of restaurants where you can still make a reservation. Big plus, excellent menu!

Rib Heaven. Better quality @ a lower price than the other rest. on the list. Try their ribs!

Oh pleeeeze. How can a chain restaurant be a romantic winner? I've eaten here and it's loud, overpriced and crowded. Not a place I'd choose to snuggle over dinner with my sweetie. The food is good but overpriced, there are lots of great steak places.
