Turning out delectable and affordable chocolates for decades.. The Scene
The white boxes printed with the picture of founder Mary See have long been recognized as a sign of comfortable quality and guaranteed goodness. Bright white and clean, See's is almost sterile in its appearance, its edges softened by the counterpeople, usually grandmotherly women who hand out free samples willy-nilly.

What's Special
While See's smooth butter creams and crunchy nut clusters haven't changed, the chocolatier has added some new candies to its traditional lineup. Among them are pastel pink, yellow, orange and beige bonbons filled with coconut, apricot, orange and maple cream, and a new line of truffles that come in contemporary flavors such as apple pie and dark chocolate chip.

Gotta Have It
Despite the new entries, the rum nougat--a thick rectangle of rum-flavored white nougat mixed with chopped walnuts, raisins and candied cherries then doused with milk chocolate--remains one of See's most popular morsels.
