Editorial Review for Louis Licari – by Meghan Rabbitt

In Short
The white walls, black floors, and no-frills design do little to announce this bi-level salon as one of New York City's most sought-after. But a long list of celebrity clients--who get coiffed in the salon's private VIP styling room--and numerous national television appearances make the salon's namesake and expert colorist, Louis Licari, a celebrity himself. His dedicated fans rave about the staff's impeccable service and their cutting-edge techniques.

The staff is rude, overcrowded, overrated, old equipment. The desk service awful and it changes every month from bad to worse, over all highly over rated place that tries to take advantage of old glory, pathetic!!!!!!!!!

I have been to Louis Licari several times before and I have always been very happy. Yesterday I went for highlights and a cut and after a $400 bill I left in tears. While I was having my highlights done my colorist was also working on at least 3 other people and she was flustered and running around. She was friendly but didn't listen to what I wanted with my higlights and I was very specific! Then, when I got my hair cut the stylist DID NOT LISTEN. I said simply one inch off the back and one inch off of my bangs. He chopped at least 2 inches and put short layers and thinned out my already thin hair! I HATE IT! When I noticed all the hair he was cutting I asked him what he was doing and he acted annoyed he told me to relax it would be fine. Needless to say I will NEVER return....

Pros: Nice area

Cons: Felt rushed and ignored
