The Scene
Luna's brought the cafe/gallery concept to Sacramento. Owners Art and Chris Luna have been showcasing Northern California artists of every description for more than a decade. In addition to the visual art displays, Luna's offers an exceptionally diverse performance venue. Local heroes such as Cake, Anton Barbeau, and Caron Vikre have graced the stage here.
Step Right Up
Another Luna's specialty is Poetry Unplugged, the longest-running poetry series in Sac. Hosted by Joe Montoya every Thursday at 8pm, it attracts a wide variety of poets, from first-time readers to nationally recognized writers such as Francisco X Alarcon and Luke Breit.
Food for Thought
The food is light and health-oriented; fresh ingredients are key. Get a quesadilla, chips and salsa and a beer before the show, or show up before work for a smoothie and a bagel.

Art Luna and his sister have one of the best restaurant/music clubs in the city of Sacramento. You can't beat the quality of the food and drink and the live music is scrumptious as well. The club has the perfect setup for acoustic and songwriter type entertainment. --mikey
