Dave's Rent A Car

They made me so happy, I made them cookies!. My car broke down and I needed a rental while it was being fixed. The shop called Dave's for me and they came and picked me up. What a nice and friendly bunch of people working at Dave's. They turned my frown upside down and really made me happy. Anyways, they rented me a Corolla like mine but new. The next day the shop called and told me my car was dead and not worth fixing. So, after work, I drove up to the Toyota dealership to look at cars. After a couple of hours of stress, I got out of there! The next day, I was talking to a co-worker and he told me that he saved a lot of money and time buying his last 2 cars at Dave's. I stopped by Dave's on my way home and asked them about cars for sale. They told me I could buy the one I rented or could rent and then buy a different one. They had hundreds of cars and just about everything was Honda and Toyota. I picked a Camry and they let me rent it for a couple of days to make sure it was what I wanted. I drove the Camry to my mechanic to check it out. He asked me were I got the car from. When I told him Dave's, he told me he really didn't need to look at it very hard. He had never found a bad car from Dave's in 15 years. He checked pricing for me on the internet and found out Dave's wanted almost $2000 less than the Toyota dealer. I went back to Dave's to buy the car. They told me they could process the DMV and even get the loan for me at School's CU. 20 minutes later, the car was mine. What a nice experiance. Hesitated to use them, but soooo glad I did!. After reading the review about the $300, I hesitated to use Dave's. Because they had the car I wanted and it was cheaper than anywhere else, I went for it. When you rent a car from them, they tell you that you need a DL, insurance and CREDIT card. If you only have a DEBIT card, just tell them and they'll explain the process. Fortunately they take them at all because most rental companies don't. Because I work in the banking industry, I know that Debit cards are linked to your checking account and the bank (not Dave's) holds the money out of the account temporarily. If she was honest, she'd tell you that she used a debit card and that it was never actually charged, that there was just a temporary hold. Honestly, $300 as a security deposit is nothing for a $30,000 SUV. If I was renting my own car out, I'd want more! Try Dave's and see for yourself.…
