Best Fried Chicken in a Supermarket Deli....best fast food in Colfax, CA..
Sierra Market Deli has great southern fried chicken, served daily between 10:30 am and 3:00 pm.
There are three small tables, which makes it a restaurant of sorts.
Deli sandwices are inexpensive, and they give you the meat of THREE subway sandwiches.
The Fried Chicken is outstanding, not too salty, not too greasy, quite simply the best supermarket broasted chicken I've ever tasted. The "Snack Pack" ($2.25) gives you a gargantuan chicken breast, a drumstick, and some potato wedges. Its an incredible value, and one of the reasons I love to go to Colfax, CA for lunch, then catch a movie at the nearby Colfax Theatre.
