Best Burgers for many miles. The burger selection here is exceptional and creative and with only a few exceptions, they do them right. The California Burger is incredible and huge. Order one to split. The owner is cordial and very thoughtful and staff is generally quite good. They have great internet there, parking is easy and the malts are fantastic.

Great stop coming back from Tahoe!. I have visited many times and have never been disappointed. As always, it is on a return trip down the hill. I am very relieved to arrive in Colfax without snow on the roads. **************************

I am kinda a pain when it comes to having my burgers made right and whomever the "cook" is has always made mine just like I ask. My fav has and always will be their California bacon burger amalgamated with the Jalapeño burger and what I request as "overcooked" mushrooms. My side is the wonderful onion rings (ranch on the side). I also really enjoy their "western" burger "as is". Defiantly worth trying.(at least 3 times :):)************************************************

The best part is when my wife is driving. I can order one of their "on tap" beers. They always change, so I get to try something different almost every time. Also, they have a diverse selection of bottled beers. If one on tap doesn't catch my eye there is always another I can choose. ************************

They have shakes, as well as those fancy coffee house syrups(can't remember the name). My kids always get those. I have "sampled" my kids' shakes and depending on what was ordered, I am never disappointed. **********

(f.y.i.: I didn't think a cherry, peppermint, chocolate shake was all that good but my kid LOVED it)

Quite a few times it has been the owners with their son helping out. Along with their other employees, this is one of the BEST family restaurants I have ever been in. I will continue going as long as they are open for business. CHEERS !

Finally a spicy burger!. They had this special on a spicy burger they call the Gunslinger. It was bomb!

Good Burger Joint. After four hours of rafting, eating here was a great choice. I have never had a Peanut Butter shak before, but it will forever be one of my favorites. My friends and I enjoyed the train circling around the room above our heads. The california bacon burger and onion rings are a good choice.

ALL AROUND GOOD BURGER JOINT. I POPPED IN FOR A QUICK BURGER, ITS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT, THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY, LAYED BACK.. ITS A VERY SIT WHERE YOU WANT KIND A PLACE. i TOOK A SEAT AT THE NASTALGIC DINER COUNTER. I WAS QUICKLY BROUGHT A MENU, AND A DRINK ORDER TAKEN. I THOUGHT I WANTED A BURGER, UNTIL I SAW THE RUEBEN ON THE MENU. I WATCHED THE COOK, HANDLE SEVERAL ORDERS AT ONCE, AND WORKED THE GRILL LIKE A PROFESSIONAL. THE WAIT STAFF WAS VERY ATTENTIVE. MY RUEBEN WAS EXCELLENT. I WILL DEFINITLY MAKE THIS A FEAUTRED STOP EVERYTIME I HEAD UP THE HILL TO RENO.

Very disappointed with new owners. Sadly, this was the best burger joint in Colfax, under previous ownership.

Food has fallen in quality while the service is non-existent.

If you're heading back from Lake Tahoe/Reno, and need a place to stop for burgers, I'd recommend "In N' Out" which is just several exits and 14 minutes further west on Interstate 80.
