The Rusty Duck was the dining experience I have ever had.. The food was excellent. I had the Halibut, it was perfectly cooked and very flavorful. The service was awesome, the manager visited the table and made us feel extremely welcome. I did notice that the waitress sounds like a robot, saying the exact same thing at every table. But she was just doing her job. We had a lave cake for dessert, and it was sooooooooooo good. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to all my friends. And I will be going back to this restuarant very soon. THE BEST DINING EXPERIENCE EVER.

Tired bland menu, not well cooked. Young inexperienced service. I used to go here years ago and remembered it being kind of lively. We recently went on a Friday night and the place was dead. The server was nice and polite, but looked like she should be apprenticing at Denny's, and did not know the menu or about the food. Didn't know if the salmon was a steak or a filet.

Appetizer ( duck spring rolls) sounded great but were mushy, lukewarm and bland. Salad was worthy of a school cafeteria with chopped up head lettuce, a few chery tomatoes and canned blue cheese dressing missing the cheese.

My friend's duck was dry and overcooked as was my halibut, and my vegetables ( again, cafeteria fare) of sliced carrots and broccoli were undercooked. House wine was OK, and served at correct temperature in a nice glass.

The waitress didn't offer coffee but we asked for and got espresso. It was weakish and uninspired.

Too bad, its a neat looking place in a very handy location near the airport, but I won't go there again. Not for $90. I could get the same meal at Carrows for a fourth of the price.

Fantastic Experience. One of Sacramento's premiere dining spots! Four of us went and enjoyed a friendly, relaxed, and yet high quality meal. Attentive service and very cozy atmosphere. We were not disappointed! This is the perfect place for a special occasion, a romantic meal, or just a couple of hours remembering the sometimes forgotten joy of a truly pleasant dining experience.

Very nice place for a special night.. We went there and had a wonderful dinner. Group of 4, and all of us had excellent food, and the service was the best. This would be a great place to go for a birthday, or Valantins dinner. A+

Excellent CALAMARI dish and dressing!. The Calamari alone is enough for me to visit once or twice a year. Hands-down one of the juiciest and healthiest strips of deep fried squid available in Sacramento, and the dressing is exceptional - spicy and rich blend of flavor!

The dimly lit environment and candles cultivates a attractive and romantic atmosphere. The mix of traditional meat dishes and fresh seafood makes the Rusty Duck a good candidate for dates and romantic evenings...
