The Firehouse - An elegant experience in the heart of Old Sacramento

  • Region's best wine selection
  • Award-winning American cuisine
  • Banquets and private parties

Beautiful presentation of delicious food is the Firehouse trademark. Chef Deneb Williams specializes in creating award-winning modern American cuisine, perfectly complemented by wines from the Firehouse wine cellar, the region's largest wine collection with more than 18,000 bottles.

The main dining room, Courtyard Grill, shaded New Orleans-style outdoor courtyard, private rooms and expansive wine cellar are defined by elegance and gracious hospitality. A luxurious five course Chef's Tasting Menu is available.

The Firehouse was voted Most Romantic, Best Special Occasion Dining, Best Wine List and Best Outdoor Dining by the subscribers of Sacramento Magazine 2007. In addition, the Firehouse won the wine spectator Best of Award for Excellence for the 6th year in 2007.

Editorial Review for The Firehouse – by Christy Buena

In Short
Upon entering the main dining room of the small bar and restaurant, guests are transported to the Gold Rush Era as oil paintings, elevated ceilings and a fireplace create a fine dining atmosphere. For dinner, a five course Chef's Tasting Menu presented by Executive Chef Deneb Williams changes monthly and includes wine pairings. Outside, a courtyard with ivy-laced walls and canopys can be reserved for special occasions providing a romantic dining experience while the courtyard grill features a fireplace, dark wood, mirrors and is ideal for business lunches. The eatery also offers a wine cellar room and golden eagle room and salon featuring photos of celebrities who have dined at the restaurant.

I took my wife to this restaurant on Mother's Day. What a "let down". Horrible food, horrible service and the management doesn't care. I love to fine dine and see my wife loving where I take her. The Firehouse let me down. Spend your money somewhere else. There is allot of great restaurants in Sacramento. The Firehouse is NOT one of them. Old Sacramento is awesome though. Great location...just horrible food, prices and service.

Pros: Your in Old Sacramento

Cons: Over priced, Bad Service and the food is nothing special
