STAY AWAY!!!!!!!. I usually don't even write reviews but took the effort to sign up at this website and write one just to help someone out. The lunch buffet, at the seemingly bargain basement price of $4.99, is a total rip off. There were 3 other parties present the day I went and there were only 3 dried up slices of pizza at the bar. Again, these were slices of pizza, not whole pizzas. I spent 40 minutes there and they only brought out 1 pizza for everyone and that consisted of only 8 slices. The pizza was gone after 2 people had gone up. To make matters worse, the quality of the pizza was not even comparable to that of the cheapest frozen pizza you could have bought in a grocery store. The pasta and macaroni and cheese were watered down and tasted old. I witnessed the staff bring out new spaghetti and just dump it right on top of the old stuff. The salad was by far the best tasting food and that isn't saying much. You really can't mess that up since it's just lettuce, veggies, and packaged dressings. I would advise staying away from this place. If they don't make drastic changes, they will go out of business from either lack of customers or someone getting seriously ill from their old food. If I could give them less than one star I would. This has to be, by far, the worst pizza establishment I have EVER dined at.
We had relatives in town and were hungry and needed a quick meal. We had just visited the California State Railroad Museum, Rode the old train and were Having a great time...
And then we 'dined' at Annabelle's.
The 'buffet' was a gastronomic disaster. The pizza was horrible. Honestly, if you spread Wonder Bread with Katsup and melted a slice of good old American cheese on top it would have been better. Did I mention bland and tasteless? One pizza had a few tiny pieces of sausage (of unknown origin) scattered across some portions of it. Horrible.
As for the 'pasta' dishes-- I hope no real Italians ever come to this establishment to dine as they would feel compelled to destroy it as an insult to their culture and national cuisine.
One pasta was composed of penne pasta in clearly watered down generic tomato sauce with some over-cooked slices of green pepper tossed in. It was not in the style of any known Italian dish. I think they happened to have some green peppers laying around so they threw them in. Honestly, it was the worst thing I have ever tasted, and that's including the aforementioned pizza. There was also a 'macaroni and cheese' dish with very thin 'sauce' and a spaghetti option that suffered from the same defects as the penne, albiet without the disgusting peppers.
This place has nothing in common with a real restaurant. There was no effort noted to provide any semblance of good food. The persons running the establishment (and I will not digress into ethnic insults but they were decidedly not Italian and appeared southern Asian) are perpetrating a scam. Don't fall for the '$5.99 all you can eat Italian food.' slogan. They know full well NO ONE will eat their fill of this horrible food, which is virtually tasteless and gross. DO NOT DINE HERE.
I would eat from a trash can before I ate here again.. STAY AWAY. AVOID THIS TOURIST TRAP. Absolutely horrible, literally the worst place I have ever ate. I felt like I was robbed, even at $4.95 per person. I think I would commit suicide before eating in this place again. Buffet was a joke. Consisted of pizza, mac and cheese, spaghetti and salad. Pizza was cheap packaged store bought pizza and only two or three different types; the pasta was canned spaghetti-0's and no bread, mac and cheese was watered down and the salad bar consisted of lettuce and a couple of vegetables. You could see the disappointment in the faces of all other diners. Atmosphere? The area next to the large screen TV was blocked and the noise from the video games, which were next to the big screen TV was irritating and overwhelming even thou no one was playing them.
The worst buffet in the entire world. A sad, pathetic "Italian" buffet run by people who obviously have never been near Italy. The two sad little pizzas were generic (one hamburger, one pepperoni), the three pasta offerings (mac & cheese, ziti, and spaghetti) all had watery tasteless sauce, and the salad bar was the saddest little thing I'd ever seen. It looked like they made a run to the grocery store for a couple heads of iceberg lettuce, and a couple bottles of salad dressing dumped into containers. I suspect the only way these folks stay in existence is to grab unsuspecting tourists to Old Sacramento. It was absolutely positively the most hideous dining experience I've had in years, bar none.
horrible food. food tastes like water, everything is runny and watered down, tiny salad bar, i would never eat here ever again. and it smells inside. worst restaurant i have ever been to
