Oh GROSS!!. Pizza was yummy! Fantastic in fact! ... until I found a HAIR baked into the crust! OMGWTF?? YUK! And the woman running the place at 11:30am on 7/30/10 had the nerve to have attitude about it! Ain't going there again!
Terrible service, good pizza. Good pizza, terrible service! The woman at the counter today was totally stressed out, she even made the comment that she's the only one working on Saturday's. Guess what everyone, Saturday's are one of there busiest days there! She was rude and couldn't handle all the orders coming in, not to mention she had to ring up people and make the pizzas, maybe the owners should be aware of her stressful attitude and get some more help! Bad service.
Don't waste your time.. This was the worst pizza I have ever been served in a restaurant. The crust was soggy. The toppings (I had the pesto) had a stale flavor. It dosen't appear they are doing enough volume to keep the pizza's fresh. The restaurant looked like a garage sale, messy! There are plenty of other quick eateries in the area. Avoid this place at all cost!
The best freaking pizza in the world!. You can get your slice with anything you want on it, even vegan cheese. The crust is heavenly, and the drink selection is unmatched. They even pregrilled my friend's pepperoni so it would be less oily before putting it on the pizza. The pesto is delicious and their cheese is high quality. The slices can get a little expensive once you add everything you want to them, but one slice will make a complete meal, so in the long run, its still a really good deal. Parking is not so great, but finding a spot is definitely worth it.
THE BEST PIZAA IN SACRAMENTO HANDS DOWN!!!!. I don't even like eating the crust on pizza but that is where are start with a piece of Pieces Pizza! Their crust is awesome!
Now this is REAL Pizza!!. Oh my goodness by far this is the best pizza I've had in Cali! Ok I'm form New York, where we know about pizza. After eating at this place, I feel terrible for all the bad things I said about California pizza. Their Pesto slice is profoundly delicious!!!! My god, I guess they can make good pizza in Cali afterall. Highly recommended....especially after a night out at the club.
"Giant" is the word at this hole-in-the-wall, bare-bones pizzeria, where a slice is nice..
The Scene
Pieces is popular with the college crowd, both because it's cheap and because it stays open until 2:30am on the weekends. There's been an attempt to duplicate an outdoor-dining area indoors: Tables with umbrellas are perched on AstroTurf, and there's a funky little bird fountain to complete the picnicky decor.
The Food
We are talking volume here: Paul Bunyan would be satisfied with a single slice of Piece's New York-style meat-and-veggie combo. Pizza selections include cheese and sauce, pepperoni, pesto, and olive and mushroom. There are also rotating pizza specials during the week.
Expensive, disappointing, greasy.....
Don't be fooled by the ratings like I did! Im new in town and saw the high ratings for this place so I thought I would try it. Cheap pizza, not here, $10 for two slices (must be rich students around here). The cheese taste bland, the crust stuffing thing like the commercial places was cheese ovekill. They thew the slices in the oven to warm them up, but they still where cold, old and soaking with grease. This is just average so so pizza. I did like the hole in the wall ambiance and tropical theme.
But onward I go to find my favorite local pizza joint...
