The Scene – Ornery waitresses sling pie with plenty of attitude, but that doesn't scare away customers. Just about everyone in Sacramento has filed through the doors of this hole-in-the-wall. Dark and cavern-like, the dining room is covered in wood paneling, worn red carpet, a black ceiling that sparkles and strings of Christmas lights that burn year-round. – – The Food – It can take almost an hour to get a pie. Pass time with Wings-O-Fire, Zelda's rendition of buffalo wings (they're actually legs) that are plump, meaty and oh-so spicy. Skip withered bowls of iceberg…
Sit down, shut up, and eat the best pizza in the west.

If you aren't prepared for the Zelda's experience you might be a bit taken aback. Just walk in with patience and an open mind. Take it all in. Observe the retro stone walls and the dark lattice dividing wall with the christmas lights. Let the old timey italian posters sink in. Let the watresses give you a bit of sass and don't take anything personally. Think about all the history, all the stories that the walls of Zelda's would tell if they could speak. Remember that the staff is not there to hold your hand and stroke your ego, they're there to make you the best damned pizza you've ever had. And fully expect to exercise a lot the next day to burn off those calories!
- Pros: Delicious Pizza
- Cons: steep learning curve
Zelda's Pizza Sacramento.......Really Great Place to Eat and Awsome Food and Service!!!

I have been wanting to go to Zeldas Pizza for a long time but after reading all of these bad, inaccurate reviews here I was almost afraid to go. I finally went last night with my wife and we had a very nice dining experience! The Pizza and the service was awesome! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone! Thank You Zeldas!....................G & M West, Somerset, Ca.
- Pros: Ambience, Pizza, Service
AWFUL FOOD AND TERRIBLE SERVICE
by solarmoxie
I tried to like this place because ambiance is important to me, and Zelda's is old school woodsy and dark. But that's the ONLY thing Zelda's has going for it. I tried again and again because I've found that places and people that can seem offensive in the beginning often wind up being your favorites. Zelda's is the exception, as it's progressively disappointing every time. They pride themselves on having some of the worst service in town (just check their website) and the pizza is so NOT GOOD. The crust is supposed to be the big draw (I can't imagine what else could be) and it's saturated with butter and flaky and just bad. If you're looking for bad food, awful service and an annoyingly long wait for no apparent reason, then come here by all means. Other wise, stick with places with GOOD reviews, and maybe, I dunno, a HOSTESS.
- Pros: Wooden Booths
- Cons: Everything Else
