Downtown dance club provides funky grooves and '80s flashbacks for college crowds..
In Short
Much like the mishmash decor scheme of gay bar Townhouse across the street--down to identical black-and-white linoleum--this small soda fountain-like space attracts a mostly straight 20-something crowd. Once known for live alt-rock shows, now it's more about club nights. The first room contains a jukebox featuring everything from Carole King to Mother Hips and provides several stool-and-table sets. A raised pink rope-lit DJ booth, simple platforms and black lights comprise the dance space.
