No, longer my first, second, third
choice for eating out. We had dinner tonight at the Olive Garden, the service from our waitress was worse than awful. She came to the table, told us her name and ask to take our order. We overheard the waiter serving the table next to us explaining the order/take home deal as well as the 2 for 25. Not our waitress - after taking our order we never saw her, until she brought us the check. When I spend my money, I want good food and as good service.
Just a reminder for the manager, we were seated next to the wine racks in the back of the restaurant, the smell from the dishes, and dirty rags was not appealing!
Bad Service. The wait is WAY TOO LONG, don't w/o calling 1st and make a reservation ahead of time, I waited for 1hr and 30 mins and they still were unable to get me a table and told me to wait for another 10 more mins for only a party of 4. I don't think I was being unreasonable.
I LOVE THE FOOD IS GREAT,NICE SERVICE. Nice Pasta,Very fresh decent prices, Nice place in Arden area. Alot of wines.Probably best pasta in Sacramento
changes?. Now that management has changed, this Olive Garden is a little better. There are still troubles with stocking but there have definitely been fewer incidents where the restaurant was out of a certain food.
Traditional dishes and all -you-can-eat salad, soup and bread sticks are the draw at this upscale-casual Italian restaurant..
In Short
Established in 1982, this chain gained a following for its laid-back atmosphere and generous portions. Patrons settle into comfortable booths and tables in dining rooms with plants, artwork and décor reminiscient of the villas in the Tuscan countryside. Starters include scampi, sausage or pepperoni pizza, and several soup choices, as well as a signature seafood dip (crab, shrimp, cheese and marinara). Entrees include classics like lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo and chicken parmigiana. There are also "Garden Fare" options, which promise 30 percent fewer calories.
Don't go there for lunch unless you are not hungry!.
I have been to a lot of Olive Gardens before, who hasn't, I have even been to this particular one before. Must have been a bad day for the place because, they were out of everything and so I was left to order a sampler appetizer for lunch.
Stay away from the server, "Giovanni". He even messed up the salad, pretty bad, huh? Not as bad as his excuses for why my appetizer was taking so long. He did do a good job in one area, avoiding my table as 30 mins went by waiting for my meal. By the time I was fed up in waiting for my order, he said he was going to see what he could do about the bill, he said he took care of my check by not charging me for food that I never received. The guy didn't comp any of the other meals on my check, not even my soda. If that wasn't bad enough, I didn't see him again to pay my bill until I was upfront complaining to the manager. I hope it was his first week on the job, otherwise not a good Olive Garden location for service.
Your better off walking across the street to the restaurant that rhymes with "Looters" for some chicken wings!
Olive Garden. After working in the restaurant business for a few years now, and working at this particular Olive Garden in Sacramento, I would not recommend it. There is a reason why this particular Olive Garden has a ridiculously high turn over rate; management. How can a restaurant run smoothly when the kitchen staff are all illegal immigrants from Mexico and cannot speak English? It is also difficult to have motivation to work as an employee when your boss does not care about you and does not have any type of loyalty to the employee.
A good experience. With a group of seven for lunch, I had a pleasant experience. The waiter was very friendly and prompt in responding to our requests. The food is standard Olive Garden fare, so it's just Italian food with nothing special in particular. We did enjoy the endless salad, and the waiter made sure that every time we came close to finishing our bowl, he brought a new one.
Not my first choice in Sac restaurants... I have been to this place a number of times... out of those times my party has been forgotten twice... once being at my 21st birthday party! The food is okay... I believe that you pay for the atmosphere and not so much for the food... The soup and salad is the best thing to order but I think that if you must hit the Olive Garden do youself a favor and go to the Modesto location...
