The Scene – It's relaxed and casual at Tres Hermanas. As you sip sangria on the plant-filled patio, sit back and take in the charm of Midtown and the steady stream of people as they cruise K Street. Local businesspeople fill the place up at lunchtime, so avoid the noon hour. Try a weekend brunch instead. – – The Food – This is an authentically Mexican restaurant, serving dishes like mole (chocolate-based sauce) and menudo (tripe) that are hard to find (at least prepared the right way) in Tex-Mex and California-cuisine eateries. Try the sinful but delicious flautas:…

Rude service, OK food
by Maggielove at Citysearch
The worst service ever. They rushed me with my order and and then literally dumped it on the table as if I was wasting there time. The meal was some what warm and greasy. The server only returned to leave the bill and did not say a word. I'm not going back.
- Pros: 0
- Cons: bad service
Awful service!!! The food is not that great either!
by jrtm at Citysearch
The food is not that good and what makes it even worse is the horrible service. The wait staff is rude and just sets down your plates like they are feeding an animal. I am definitely not returning. They do not make you feel welcomed.
- Pros: location
- Cons: service, service, and service
Best Mexican Food in Sac
by dklc at Citysearch
I love this little hole-in-the-wall Mexican joint and I quickly became a regular once I discovered it. The food is great and authentic, the atmosphere unique, it is a memorable place. The chicken tacos, carnitas, and fajitas are excellent. I think that the drinks are too strong though and the waitress wouldn't let me send it back, which was disappointing. Usually they are nice, but on a busy night I have had them start to take my plate away while I had a fork with food in my mouth! So while the service may not be the best (it's better when it's not crowded on a weekday), the food keeps me coming back.
- Pros: excellent food
- Cons: poor service, a little expensive for Mexican food
Excellent Carnitas and Salsa!
by mehrunnisa at Citysearch
We come from Southern California where we eat ALOT of mexican food. But this week, we are visiting Sacramento and read the Citysearch review for this restaurant. At first when you look at the outside, it doesn't seem like a lot. But the food is excellent. The chips and salsa are outstanding, especially the salsa.
We had a beef mole enchilada (delicious) and the carnitas (not dry and perfectly flavored). The beef and chicken fajitas were also very good. My sister had the ceviche tostada, which for a restaurant that is not near the coast, was surprisingly fresh and tasty.
The beans and rice were also very good. And the aguas, we had horchata and jamaica, were refreshing and delightful. We also had the chicken and rice soup which is homemade and was delicious.
I wish we lived in Sacramento so we could here more often!
- Pros: Food, Service
- Cons: Parking
