Bring some friends and have a good time.
I heard this was "The Dive Bar to be at" and they were right. I'll have to say that the Round Corner is as cool as every one said.
No live music but a very respectable jukebox, two pool tables. All my favorite beers on tap: Budweiser,Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and a wide selection of bottled beers. and if your starved, they got burgers and sandwiches. During Monday Night Football they serve tamales and "Chiliwolves" for a buck, (whatever the hell those are) Everyone said try them.
Bring some friends and have a good time cheap.
Yes, it is a dive, but there's a gritty blue-collar appeal about it..
The Scene
This bar is more brightly lit than most neighborhood taverns. The pool games are challenging; if you're just messing around, don't even think of getting on a table after about 4pm. In general, though, the atmosphere is very relaxed here, and the prices are more than reasonable: Happy hour lasts from 5pm to 7pm seven days a week. There are only two beers on tap, and the sound is rarely turned up on the TVs, but the leatherette booths are comfortable and good for groups, and a row of chairs is provided outside for smokers. This is a good place to be.
The Crowd
The evening crowd is young and local, mostly midtown types in jeans and T-shirts. The bike rack is often completely full with the midtowner's favorite form of transportation. Daytime draws local laborers and the like.
