terrific. Bottle service is excellent, and not too too pricey. The service was great a little crowded but they got their job done. Bartender mixed me a couple of her own specialty drinks and they were fabulous! It?s packed on Saturdays so if you hate big crowds it isn?t the place for you, but I loved every minute of it.
Pine Cove Tavern==the sign said OPEN but WTF????Over 30? go Elsewhere...no service here ZERO STARS. forget about the happy hour listed in previous reviews...they were of the previous owners.and are not offered now.....Partner and I showed up for "Happy Hour" today 11/7....saw the bartender for about 20 seconds (as long as he could stay off his cell phone)...He did whip out some very lame drinks though and then disappeared...never saw or heard of him again...any more service wasn`t available...since we were the only people in the joint, i guess we should have made our own second and third drinks...I hope the young fella isn`t dead or something. I am sure that he is a very cool guy (to someone).. but too busy and indifferent to be social with middle aged patrons..I have lived in that neighborhood 1st in 1966 and have been in the Pine Cove illegally (under age) since 1971..they had much better service serving me when i was 18 years old.. Very sad to see a Sacramento ICON go down....There used to be people in there ALL of the time...every hour they were open. Now...ghost town...reaping what it sows.
Great Hangout!. Awesome anytime, but thursday nights are awesome, packed with college kids, great drink specials all day everyday, and karaoke on tues. and thurs., great place to party on those nights.
GREAT DIVE BAR. Loud music. Karoke. Great college bar and after work bar or anytime bar. Free popcorn. TV's, big screens with sports/kings games on. Cheap drinks. $7 pitcherss of Pabs Blue Ribbon. Fairly large bar, can be crowded, but great atmosphere.
Sports on the TVs, shot specials every night, a loud college crowd and waitresses to deliver your drinks..
The Scene
The twisty stairs can be a little daunting on the way up, especially if you're contemplating the stumble back down. Upstairs, the decor is reminiscent of a ski lodge, with tightly clustered faux-marble-topped tables, dark wood, a gas fireplace and wall of windows overlooking E Street. The tables are so close that it can be hard to maneuver after that third shot. And you'll want a third; different drink specials run every night, ranging from $1 to $3. For more active-minded patrons, Pine Cove offers three dart boards. Nine beers on tap and happy hour from 2pm to 7pm, coupled with the Hot Spot game, make this an affable place to spend your money.
The Crowd
The business crowd usually clears out by 8pm, making way for the college crowd that surges in later.
Sundays: Pitchers of Black Star Golden Lager for $6; pitchers of Broadway Black $4.50; Skyy Bloody Marys $2.50
Mondays: Well teas $3; pitchers of Broadway Black and Black Star Golden Lager $4.50

The PC. Now this is what Sac is all about. You can meet your friends for drinks before going out on the town or you can just pull up a chair and stay a while. Attracts the most rabid Kings fans and an awesome Monday Night Football crowd.
