Great Hotel BUT.... It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

Decadant quarters and a lesson in art history!. As B & B's go, and they are my personal preference of hotel, this one provides a rich variety of old world thematic decor - comfortable plush bedding and large jet bathtub complete- and silver platter service...Its pricey but worth it. Great get-away if you can't get-away from Sac.

Historical ambience and small-town charm in downtown Sacramento.. The Scene
On a tree-lined block of historic homes, this property's three lovely bungalows with cozy front porches create the ambience of rural hometown America only blocks from the frenetic buzz of the state Capitol buildings. This small-town friendliness and hospitality extends to the accommodating service that includes a full gourmet breakfast and a turndown service with fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies.

The Details
Like the bed and breakfasts of the nearby wine country, this Victorian country inn's fourteen unique rooms are generous with color and floral prints. Its miles of period fabrics are used as ruffles, swags, valances and canopies. Each room is named after artistic giants from Beethoven to Byron to Van Gogh, and reflects the values and tastes of its namesake's era. History and romance are far from the inn's only selling points, as rooms also offer modern amenities like complimentary high-speed Internet access, CD player, VCR and Jacuzzi tubs.

Amber house. My wife and I have spent about five very special nights at Amber house. This has been one of our favorite places to go to spend time together. The staff is great! The cookies at night are great but, the breakfast in the mourning is fantastic. Don't take the Emily Dickinson room, that is are favorite.

Lounge away. My fiance and I have stayed here a couple times now...in the Chaucer room and Lord Byron room. They are unbelievable. Quaint, elegantly-appointed, and charming. They recently added 3 new rooms, so we're anticipating returning soon.

We live in Granite Bay, only a half hour from the hotel, but it's a great way to escape the house for a night. I recommend to anyone. Jacuzzi tub is a big plus, too...and relax in the swing on the front porch.
