willies on 16th st..
this place has the most burger for your buck
Not to mention the food is awesome in taste and its freshly cooked, the breakfast is so wonderful,
i love this place. you get your moneys worth and the flavor is worth it.
Great chili reminds me of tommy's. I stumbled across Willies 5 years ago and been going there every since. By chance the owner was there got to talking and noticed his sign about Tommy's. Had a chili burger it reminded me of Tommy's in LA 32 years ago!! Except for one thing at Tommy's there are no fry's just chips. They even have Tommy's chili pepper! Better than a canned jalapeno! I never new that Tommy's secret ingredient is carrots???? Who would have ever guessed!!
Too expensive, bad fries, over priced drinks. VERY bad prices .place is not worth it. Fries are horrible. DO NOT eat here, drinks too much. Plcae is packed( I dont know why) bad selection, greasy are very plain food
There n back again #2 Wow had 2 make a another willies review. This place always a Sacromento clasic. There n back again #2 Wow had 2 make another willies review. This place always a Sacromento clasic has just gotten better since my last visit in 2006. The chili is still fantastic and now served at a hotter temp. The burgers and hotdogs are greatly improved. All hotdogs are steamed n have that essential snap that a great chillidog requires. The hotdog buns either steamed or grilled were a perfect match to an impecable chili experance, easily a match 4 pinks, or tommy's, in Los Angeles. The tomatoes, and pickles, were crisp and yummy. A great taste contrast on the chili burgers, all in all well worth the trip. Also the best darn fries n onion rings. When in Sacromento dont miss out. Plus they had an extensive breakfast menu. (i havent had the chance 2 try yet but it looked incredable 4 a chilli joint:) n hey the employees really cared.
Watch What You Eat. I was disappointed in Willie's Burgers yesterday, due to the fact that their burger was cold and messy. Also, case and final point as I watched the lady take the fries out of the fry bin and put them back into the fryer to reheat them. How gross is it eating over saturated doubled dipped fries. On top of that she wiped them (the fries) with with a so-called towel to absorb the oil. Who knows where the towel has been. Make new fries for crying out loud. Knowing such I did not eat the fries and took and bite out of the burger and chucked the rest. What a waste for a students hard earned money. I think In-n-Out would have been a better choice. Bye-Bye Willie's. (Fair Oaks & Arden)
Great Burgers. If you like Burgers and really who doesn't, this is a place in town worth checking out. Get your burger any way you like it and add chili if thats your thing. They also have good breakfast!
Great Burger, Great Fries,. You will have to try it, you may not be impressed when you walk in but as soon as you taste the food you'll be hooked. This is a weekly stop me and my niece, we talk about going somewhere else but the quality of food always has us ending up at Willies. Burgers are made to order don't be fooled by the menu they will fix your burger any way you like, add bacon or pastrami, bun orr no bun!!! yours to create. French fries are great, you'll always want more when you're done,I like the seasoned salt my niece likes them without. Chili is excellent have it by itself or on burger or fries..
place for late night grub. The hours are great considering the neighborhood. Onion rings, hamburgers are tasty, they surprisingly offer a no frills breakfast. I probably wouldn't make the effort to come here if there were other non fast food options available
Best Burgers in town!. Ahh, Willie's- great burgers, fresh fries, cold soda, and a nice environment. That is all that needs to be said about the place. I would highly recommend that you go and try it.
Way past good.... This places is wonderful! I first discovered the deliciousness that is Willie's after a mock trial competition my Sophomore year of High School, when we went to grab some burgers after a late night. After that I was in love with the Slammer, and later Hammer 3, and I love nothing more than to wash it down with a large Cola. My one, miniscule complaint about the joint is that you feel kinda like a slob if you drop anything on the table, which is a feat in itself with the Slammer, but it's so worth it. On a parting note, make sure that if you get fries, you ask for them to be seasoned in Garlic Onion seasoning, which amplifyies an already great burger experience. Definitely recommended.
