Great East Sac Bar & Grill.
I have been coming to Chargin's for years now, usually on Sundays for their yummy choices of breakfast or lunch (I normally get the French Dip and it rocks) & big flat screen TV's. The service is QUICK, the bartender makes great drinks, & you feel at home when you walk into Chargins to grab a seat. The fun & easygoing crowd is a great mix of young to old. Walk in, order a mimosa or bloody mary with your denver omlette and enjoy a Sunday morning of football in this great bar.

Chargin's.
Seems like LB29 is more the Denny's/Citrus Heights kind of person. They miss the whole point of Chargin's.
Few places in Sacramento offer the ambiance and character of Chargin's. The age range is infant to elder. Always a colorful crowd, the food is great, the drinks are superb and the service is 5-star!

Poor quality equals poor food.
Have heard about the place for years being a Sacto native, had a couple friends invite me down, and soon figured out I wasted gas money. I checked the sole review on here before going.
Breakfast was the worst I have ever had, poor quality, chicken fried steak was a frost burned piece of mystery meat, I have no idea what it was. The gravy was white, runny and bland. The cheese used was worse than govt cheese, yet day glow orange, go figure. The hash browns were actually really good, which made the whole meal stranger.
The wait staff we had, was unattentive, got our order wrong, and didn't seem to care that she did.
I imagine they can't foul up pouring a beer, but I have been wrong before.
I would prefer fast food to this, and I'm not a fan of fast food.

Great Value.
I find that going to Chargins for breakfast or lunch on any day except monday is a real treat. You will find famlies with kids to senor citizens. The price is very resonable and the food is always hot. Allen will take your order and no matter how many he will never have to write down a thing( now thats good). Each order is cooked separately so you might have to wait for a little bit but it is worth it. If you like a Bloody Marry you came to the right place.Great place good prices and good drinks.Don't forget to come back for lunch. You might find this one of your best East Sacramento places to eat. If you are a younger person Friday & Saturday night this is the place to meet friends and new people.

An easygoing, pub-like atmosphere and food that's workmanlike and filling makes this place a regular hangout..
The Setting
Chargin's Bar and Grill is a vision in green. It covers every wall, blankets every tablecloth and even adorns the barstools. Hungry patrons can chow down in the one-step-up dining room, and for the drinking crowd, there's a full bar, a jukebox, an electronic dartboard and a couple of TVs over the bar. It's a small restaurant where patrons have a general disregard for "indoor voices," but Chargin's has.
The Food
The breakfast menu doesn't stray too far from the beaten path (linguica is about as "out there" as it gets), and the lunch menu at Chargin's is predominantly made up of sandwiches and burgers. They're pretty darn good sandwiches and burgers, though, and all of the food is reasonably priced and plenty satisfying, if not exactly distinctive or mind-bendingly flavorful.
