old school. just heard guys on the trail talkin about the buggy whip, so i said lets go!

we got in the buggy and we wnet.

great small place, history was made there.

Great Resurant to go out and eat. This is a very enjoyable place to go to. My wife and I go when we get the chance. The specials are very good and resonable priced. I have had the Steak, Salmon, Shrimp(huge) for dinner My wife always goes for the Steak or Prime Rib.The Steak sandwich is outstanding, I go for lunch, the Martini's the best.

Best restaurant for consistently great food in Sacramento. I started eating at the Whip in 1963, have eaten over 200 meals there and always found the food to be outstanding. This is a locally owned restaurant that was handed down from father to sons and they have done and outstanding job of updating the food and facility. In Sacramento, you can beat it for consistently great food.

Larry, the owner, is always ready to be sure everyone is satisfied and that the customer's wishes are adhered to.

great lunch menu during the week. Qiet local bar with a friendly staff, they remember you if you there more than a couple times. Mix some good drinks at resonable prices. They are agood stop for an after dinner drink on the way home. The bar has a local feel of the old neighborhood bars, yet the dress may be suits to jeans. Good place to have conversation with your date, without the noise of so many trendy bars.

Slow and not that Good.. Honestly, the service was really slow. I wouldn't have minded the service if the food had been any good. I won't being go back there.

Great casual dining, with a good steak.. We went to The Buggy WHip with people ranging from 2 to 85, they were all welcomed nicely. teh food was good, with healthy servings! the Whole restaurant sang happy birthday to me, and the staff was very kind to my children. A full bar is available, and you can see why it has been open so long.
