It was bad. She was unprofessional and rude. I heard she did grat consults and she didnt. I ried to ecplain to her what I wanted and she apparently wasnt listening because it was so far from what I described. It was way overpriced for the ridiculous haircut she gave me!!
I am sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with your haircut & overall experience at our Salon. It is unfortunate that I was not made aware of your concerns & dislikes at that time. We work very hard and take pride in providing the very best customer service possible. We try to listen to each client?s unique needs and give them the personal & quality service that they are looking for. I am at a loss, at the unprofessional and rude comments posted? We simply do not conduct our business in that manner. As for parking, I am not sure where you parked since we are located in the Town & Country shopping center which has an abundant amount of parking. Salon costs are in line with other quality salon?s in the area, and often we are less expensive.
Marissa is awesome! – I absolutely love Marissa's cuts and colors. The first time i went to her i could tell she knew what she was doing and walking out of the salon i felt confident with my color.. and the compliments given by friends and family helped as well! Same thing with the haircut, she cuts hair the way it's supposed to be cut! I feel like i finally found someone who understands me and my hair, which is rare! Thanks Marissa!
Stylish Cut – Got a great looking & feeling haircut from Marissa! After our short consultation I felt like she did a great job of working with my hair and facial features giving me exactly what I was looking for. My husband even noticed right off, I guess that means I get to go back or more often!

Best Haircut in Years! – Marissa gave me probably the best haircut I've had in years. She understood my hair and really knew how to cut it to give it the most shape and volume. She also did an excellent job with my highlights. I just can?t say how happy I am! I highly recommend her.
Not worth consideration – I visited this salon due to the reviews and word of mouth. I have been there twice now, seeing two different stylist. I was happy with one of the stylist (melissa), but will never return due to the other (marissa). This stylist canceled my appointment (that I had for 2 months) a few hours before. I received the message ON THE WAY to my appointment, after leaving work early. Because I had this appointment for so long, I had actually scheduled a trip out of town and two doctor appointments around it.
The salon called twice before my appointment - 2 days before and then earlier on the day of my appointment. They said that there was a cancellation earlier in the day, and asked if I could come in early. Both times i told them that I would not be able to come in earlier. Both times they stated that it was ok and I could keep my original appointment. She knew she wouldn't want to stick around for my appointment since she had a gap between appointments, and could have let me know sooner (like the first time they called, 2 days before) rather than a couple of hours prior to my appointment.
She left me the message saying that she had a baby at home to go to. If it had been an emergency, that would be very understandable, but it wasn't. It was an inconvenience for her to wait for my appointment. Well, she has no clue as to what I had to schedule around, doctor appointments (2 of them!), hospital visits, etc. The way it was handled, and her decision to not wait around and just go home was very inconsiderate, rude and unprofessional.
As for the quality of her cuts, I've nothing bad to say. Unfortunately, the cut is not worth the aggravation of going back.
I apologize for the inconvenience. It is not a common practice of ours to cancel appointments, but there are times it is necessary to juggle our schedule around. We all work very hard in order to make ourselves available & work with our client?s schedules. I have been on Maternity Leave for the last 10 weeks this is why you had to wait so long for your initial appointment. Yes we did call & ask if you would like to move your appointment, however when it did not work with your schedule we fit another client in to that spot. Your appointment was cancelled because we had several last minute cancellations & I had to relieve my caregiver who was having trouble with my baby (it was her first day on the job). As for bad business practices I hardly think moving your appointment time & offering you several other slots calls for a ?beware? ?unprofessional business practices? review. You have left me a nasty message as well as 2 poor reviews I certainly think you have expressed your anger.
beware – unprofessional business practices. mediocre haircuts. best bet is to see melissa if you MUST go to this salon. otherwise, avoid going here.

One of the Best in Town! – I agree with the majority of the reviewers Marissa did an awesome job with my hair! I was very impressed with her work and felt great after seeing her. She gave me the confidence in my hair again that I have been looking for. I am always a little skeptical when trying someone new but was totally put at ease by Marissa & the salon. Her Cut and Color still looks great on me! I will be back soon you can count on that!

I've thought for weeks about not leaving this review at all but... – I went to Marissa at Morgan Taylor's based on her City Search reviews and rating.
But I have to say I wish I hadn't.
I've thought for weeks about not leaving a review at all because as a stylist, her livelihood might be centered on word of mouth...but I'm still living with the mess she left on my head, so here's the review.
I went in, sat down, she asked me what we were doing ?it being my first time... I told her to trim my bangs (I like heavy bangs), layer the back, dye my hair and give me highlights. I also showed her my cowlick and explained how my hair parts best, and asked her to work with that. I didn?t want a change, just shape things up and give me highlights.
Overall, I'm a pretty low maintenance kind of girl when it comes to my hair. So, lots of prep time every morning isn't something I want to contend with. I like my hair to look naturally nice, not stiff or sculpted.
Anyway, at the end of it, she gave me the exact hair cut that in conversation, I?d actually mentioned I didn?t want. The same cookie cutter hair style most stylish middle aged women wear today (This is not an insult. It looks very nice on them.) She totally changed my part, gave me such subtly colored highlights I can?t even tell that they?re there. She seemed to somehow thin my hair in the back ?it definitely did NOT need to be thinned.
She cut it into that style and now, no matter what I do with it, it does nothing but hang there in strange little layers that are very unappealing.
I?VE had to trim my bangs because she cut them to swoop across my face and off to the side down around my ear.
She?s totally made a mess of my hair and what?s worse, she charged me an arm and a leg for it too.
My color is drab and I?ve got no idea how to work with this mess on my head. I should have just stuck with my original lady. So much for reviews.
It is unfortunate that I was not made aware of your concerns & dislikes of your hair at the time of or shortly after your service. You seemed happy when you left the salon. I stand behind my work and would have done my best to meet your particular needs. Obviously there was some miscommunication between us about the style & look desired. I always do my very best to give my clients the look that they are looking for. I do have a contemporary style that most of my clients love when changing styles or simply updating their current one. I will say that typically some prep time is needed to achieve the overall best results with your hair. "Cookie cutter style" I am not so sure about, but stylish hair of today I will take as a compliment since that is what most of my clients are looking for. As far as prices go if you price around other high end salons you will find my prices to be quite similar if not lower; to be fair you did have a Cut, Color & Highlight service.
