I found a booger in my burrito. Very disgusting..
Yesterday I had the most horribly DISGUSTING fast food nightmare in my life. And it was at THIS Taco Bell location on Freeport Blvd.
At around 4:30 p.m. on May 29, 2009, I ordered two of the 89 cent grilled chicken burritos from this Taco Bell location, and two cheesy double beef burritos.
As I took a few bites from one of the grilled chicken burritos on the drive home, I felt something squishy, sticky, and slimy in my mouth (unlike the liquid green sauce inside the burrito). The consistency of the foreign object was VERY similar to that of boogers.
Alarmed, I pulled into the nearest parking lot (the Burger King across the street) and, after stopping the car, picked the object out of my mouth. Sure enough, it was a slimy yellow BOOGER. I squished it between my fingers to make sure it was not just coagulated sauce. It clearly was NOT sauce. It looked and felt EXACTLY like a booger. It clearly, 100% WAS a booger.. in my burrito. I compared the color of the booger to the green sauce; what I had between my fingers was clearly YELLOW, not green. I am 100% certain it was a booger.
I sat in my car in disbelief, spitting everything out of my mouth, with someone else's booger stuck to my palm... extremely disgusted and disappointed that I had just paid money for "food" that had been so cruelly tainted by perhaps a Taco Bell employee.
Needless to say, I threw away the rest of "food".
I've been to this location about 10 times in my life. Most of my visits were satisfactory. This one undid them all.
The more I think about the booger I pulled out of the burrito, the angrier I get. I can only wonder- was I just so unfortunate that I had the only booger in the only batch of green sauce in which boogers were put? Do other batches of sauce contain boogers too? Have any of this restaurant's other customers found boogers in their food as well? How frequently do the taco bell workers at this location on Freeport Blvd. put boogers in their sauces? WHY DID THEY DO IT AT ALL?
HOW MANY CUSTOMERS HAVE EATEN THE BOOGERS OF WORKERS FROM THIS TACO BELL AND NOT REALIZED IT?!
I will NEVER again return to this Taco Bell. There is obviously very poor hiring, training and regulation of the employees at this location.
Is it too much to ask that a fast food restaurant hold its employees to ethical standards, and teach them good hygiene and cleanliness?
Budget-minded families and travelers make a run for America's leading taco chain..
In Short
A pink and blue color scheme, white tile floors and hacienda-like arched windows combine for a subtle Southwestern motif at this fast-food chain. Founded in Southern California in 1962 by Glen Bell (who invented the pre-fab hard taco shell), this casual order-at-the-counter Mexican restaurant features classics like tacos, nachos, quesadillas and burritos. In recent years, menu offerings have expanded to include specialty items like gorditas, chalupas and cinnamon twists.
