Quality drops.... It used to be one of my favorite restaurant about couple years back then before I moved, but guess what, not anymore... I was there a week ago, but it really disappointed me a bit. Food quality drops... I used to like the way they dealt with the crab with ginger & green onion, but now they ain't as good as I think. I heard that they have changed their chef about several months back, I guess it's the main reason of that.

Our favorite chinese place!. This is my girlfriend and I's favorite chinese place. We go here AT LEAST once a week. The service is wonderful there (the waiters and manager are both very nice) and the food is excellent. This is what we have gotten and loved: west lake beef soup, crab and fish maw soup, salted fish and chicken fried rice, walnut shrimp, salt baked shrimp, fried chicken, seafood porridge, etc. EVERYTHING IS GOOD. highly recommended!

Not your average chinese restaurant. My husband and I frequent this restaurant because this is what real asian food taste like. When we go we are always the only people in the place that is american. You don't know what your missing by going to all those chain restaurants. Trust me I have been in this business for 28yrs. and it doesn't get better than these guys. Try the salted baked shrimp and chicken with black bean sauce.

Get crazy here and veer away from those tried-and-true "Americanized" Chinese favorites.. The Scene
This is definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in Sacramento. The quality of the food is very high, the service is excellent and the menu reads like a long novel.

The Food
As you might expect, seafood is a big deal here, and you absolutely cannot visit Jumbo without ordering some of the salt-baked shrimp--these unbelievably succulent treats are lots of fun to eat (you have to suck their heads off) and provide hours of finger-licking enjoyment, if you are into that sort of personal hygiene.

What to Order
Go for a hot pot, chock full of different combinations of meats, seafood, vegetables and tofu in a rich, flavorful broth (we especially like the combination bean cake hot pot) or a sweet and sour whole rock cod. This is the right place to be adventuresome.

Real Chinese Seafood. Fresh seafood cooked to order and served in large quantities: whole fish, salt-baked prawns, clams in black bean sauce, calamari.

Family Style... Authentic Chinese Food. Not much joy for those seeking "Americanized Chinese Food"

If you judge a restaurant by its clientele then this is definitely one of Sacramento's best of the best real chinese food.

The menu is in english and chinese. Its pack during the dinner hours and its clientele is mostly asian.

Dont be surprise if you go there and find a 5-25 minute wait for a seat. The atmosphere is not geared towards dinner for two... but more for the family.
