Goodness!. This is a great spot when the items are fresh and just out the oven.. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and the pastries are to die for! I always bring my nephew here for cookies and cupcakes and he never wants to leave... Keep up the good work!

Poor customer service. I ordered a cake for one of the employees in my office any when I got back I realized they gave me the wrong cake ( they never showed it to me). I called and they said to bring it back. This was terribly inconvenient since my office is 15 minutes away. Whan I got there they didn't appologize and had the nerve to toss out the cake I was returning right in front me. If they wern't going to offer to give it to me they could have at least waited until I left. They're cakes are good but I'm strickly a Freeport Bakery girl now.

Lacking in customer service. My Husband and I have been customers at Ettores Bakery/Restaurant for years. A couple of days ago we went to Ettores for dinner. We both ordered their burgers medium well done. We received our food. We were talking away as usual as we were cutting our burgers in half. We both took a couple of bites when we realized that our burgers were cooked very RARE (moo) and really pink inside. We called a server over and asked him if we could have our burgers cooked medium well as we ordered and not rare. He said yes but never apologized. He took both our plates which also had our side salads on it as well. After a couple of minutes, our plates returned with the same burgers that had been cut in half including the soggy buns, lettuce, cheese etc.. I was not happy with what was returned but I was hungry and thought what the heck. After we took a bite of one of the halves, both my husband and I noticed that our food was still rare inside. I took both plates up to the counter and showed our server. She looked at our food, never apologized and said we could have our burgers cooked again if we wanted. I told her that we did not want to wait for our food to be cooked a third time. We just wanted to leave and would like to be refunded. She said because we ate some of our food, that we would only be refunded half of our money. I asked her if she was kidding and she said no. I asked to speak to a manager. A young man comes over to talk with my husband and I who said he was a Supervisor. He looked at the two plates and agreed with the server that we could be refunded half of what we paid because we had eaten some of the food. I asked him what kind of customers is that. He just smiled at me. I was very upset and walked out. As I was leaving, he said ?Have a Nice day?. My husband took the refund and asked for the Manager?s name and when she could be reached. The supervisor told my husband as he was leaving to have a nice day as well.

Dessert is good.... but eh...... I agree that Etorre's is a great bakery. BUT, because it is so.... the service lacks in quality more than the average bakery. I ordered a cake .... 48hrs in advance and it went downhill from there. I asked for specific instructions with the cake (which they failed on), plus, the cake was damaged on the side - and they were still going to give it to me!! I was very dissappointed, but because of a lack of time, had to settle on getting a fruit tart instead --- great bakery, but I won't be back in the future.....

Food is good but desserts are devine!. This can be a bit pricey but if I remember correctly there is a deal where you get a salad, entree and dessert all for one reasonable price. Best to go that direction if you decide to do a whole meal here. Otherwise, come here for the dessert only and you will be in heaven!

Best Chocolate Mosse cake!. This is the best chocolate mosse cake I have ever tried, soft, not too sweet unlike some of the other bakery, strong chocolate taste.

Casual local hangout consistently delivers some of the city's best desserts and sandwiches.. The Scene
This is as close as Sacramento gets to a European cafe. The camaraderie among staff and patrons is apparent at first glance--order at the counter and the pleasant staff delivers food to your table as you chat with the people seated around you. Chairs and tables are tightly packed and walls are decorated for the most recent holiday. The limited dining area is full at all meals.

The Food
The baked goods and sandwiches are some of Sac's best. Soups, salads and sandwiches are generously made with the freshest ingredients. The Caesar is crisp and cheesy. The turkey panini served on thick country bread with a side of pasta salad is simple and flavorful. The juicy hamburger is made to order and arrives on a cheddar-scallion roll that perfectly complements the meat's spices. Breakfast and dessert require a view of the bakery case for homemade danishes, breads and a decadent, gooey Chocolate Kahlua cake.

Nice location, good sweets. Yummy cakes and a wonderful assortment of pastries. German owned and authentic german food. The pastries and cake are nicely sweetened and not overly sweet like other American bakeries tend to do.

I get all my celebratory cakes here or at Freeport Bakery. The Best.

Gooey Greatness. Pickup about a dozen napkins before you sit down to eat one of Ettore's cheddar burgers. The scallion bun perches atop about a half-pound of top quality meat. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. The aroma intoxicating.

Personally, I prefer medium, though on a couple of occasions my medium has been returned well done. The sauce they use in place of mayonaise is fat, fat, fat... excellent. This ain't your momma's burgers (it's better)
