The Scene – It's a small stand-alone building that looks as if someone plucked it out of the South and plunked it down in a parking lot in the suburbs. The decor is reminiscent of picnic grounds: Plastic chairs, a walk-up counter and serve-yourself sodas make for a relaxed meal. No need to worry over spilled sauce. – – The Food – Charbroiled burgers and chicken breast sandwiches, barbecue wraps, po'boys, brisket and ribs. There are also traditional sides like barbecue beans, coleslaw and potato salad. The brisket is lean, with sauce on the side for dipping, and the…
Never Ever Again
by BJW
I have been there several times. About 1/4 of the time its pretty good. After this time I will never go back. I feel we got yesterdays leftovers. I ordered the chicken and tri-tip plate, VERY DRY, Over cooked waste of money. I don't mind paying for a good meal but this was a total waste of money. Lucilles in Rocklin, is the best in the area, worth the drive. Also what is that working behind the counter, creppy.......
- Pros: It used to be good
- Cons: Way too much money (44.00 for two) VERY DRY...
Delicious Smoked Turkey for Thanksgiving. A Must Have!!
by dgriffin155
We had friends visiting the weekend before Thanksgiving and wanted to do an early Thanksgiving dinner. We called Texas West BBQ Sat morning and they specially smoked a turkey for us and it was ready by the afternoon at the Roseville Restaurant.
We let the bird sit for a few hours and the aroma of the smoked turkey was mouthwatering. We and our guests have nothing but rave reviews about the sweet, tender and smokey flavor of the turkey that just melts in your mouth.
By far the best turkey I've ever had. I highly recommend Texas West's Smoked Turkey for Thanksgiving. Great choice and they do all the work!
Thanks Mr. BBQ!
A once great restaurant gone down hill
by Wherethesun
Once upon a time in a place far away this use to be best bbq joint in town. Now they have gotten way to popular. And what happens to places that get popular? They go down hill and rest on their laurels and quit paying attention to the details that made them what they are. Sorry, I used to love this place, but no more. The pulled pork sandwiches are now dried out stringy pork sandwiches, the tri-trip is dry-trip. I have eaten there for the last time.
