Ribs & Chicken Basket. When talking about BBQ you can't beat Texas West. I've tried many different places for ribs/chicken and Texas is the best place. For those that didnt like the BBQ I don't see how,

Don't understand all the praise. I went here with my girlfriend recently on a hot summer night, only because I always see such awesome reviews on this place. I saw rewards they got, etc etc and figured it must be excellent.

We ordered some bbq pork ribs and a tri-tip meal with 2 sides. The ribs barely had enough meat on them to chew, and aside from that they were kinda dry and the meat just lacked flavor. The only good thing about them was the bbq sauce on them. My tri-tip wasn't what I consider tri-tip. It was slices of what seemed like thick roast beef, just not the juicy tri-tip steak that I'm used to eating. It had hardly any flavor, and my girlfriend concurred that it was bland and she only had one tasting of it. I had to dip the meat in bbq sauce to eat it, and even then it wasn't that enjoyable. The only good thing about that meal was the beans that came with it.

The price was also ridiculous. It was like 30 bucks for those two things, and 2 drinks.

Overall a huge dissapointment considering the price and the reviews that I have been seeing. Maybe I went with the wrong choices, but to me a good bbq place should have good meat no matter what you order. Those are my 2 cents.

LOVE good Que? Don't bother w/Texas West.. I live in the neighborhood, and I love good Que, so we visited several times, hoping it would improve. The only thing this places gets right is the ambience - and even that seems a little pre-fab. The meals are expensive (for BBQ) - and the meat is DRY and flavorless. The sauce is boring - you're better off getting your sauce out of a jar.

The potato salad is great - but why order a $15 plate for $1.50 in potato salad?

Small place, big servings. I have been here only once, but I did go looking for it and glad I found it. I will go back each trip out to Sacramento.

You call this BBQ. Ok, having experience BBQ in Texas, Maryland, and Georgia, this place does not come close to what true BBQ is. I was extremely disappointed as well as astonished by the inflated prices. This place is average at best. The meat was not juicy and pump enough, while the flavor was just too sweet. Highly disappointing.

Now this is BBQ!!!. If you're looking for real Texas BBQ (that's smoked), this is the place! We had the Tri-tip sandwich which is really good and the ribs that fell off the bone! They have really good side dishes too, we had the potato salad and homemade fries. The staff are really friendly and made sure we were very happy. I highly recommend eating here, it's a good ol' fashioned BBQ place.

This is BBQ???. I've had a lot of BBQ in my life and other than one I had in NC once this is absolutely the worst ever. Small protions, dry, not meaty at all. BBQ beans... I saw the beans but I didn't see anything BBQ about them.

unsatisfied. We had a unpleasant evening at the q last night.I called ahead to make sure that they will have a fat free salad dressing available.On arrival I found the ordering sloppy.When I request a fat free salad dressing,the cashier tell me she is not sure whether they have some but she'll check.They assured me that its ff till I request to see the bottle.Then suddenly they didn't have it.The tri tip plate came with 5 slices of meat Ireally think thats a rip off,it was dry and you'd have to dip it in some sauce to be able to swallow it.The ribs was good.The corndog and fries were oily

Great Ribs!!. This place has awesome ribs!! I loved the babybacks and chicken. Not sure what the other reviewer was talking about since they don't have waitresses. I highly recommend this place. The fries were homemade and great!!
