turned for the worst.
FPI took over management of the Bryson Apartments in 2011. We had several good managers, but heavy turnover - 5 managers in one year! - and the latest Management is hostile and abusive of renter's
rights.
In February, they revoked parking rights and forced us to seek off-site parking at $80-$100/month out-of-pocket, and after complaints have been dragging-on "resolution" for months.
Now they are entering units without permission or proper notice and lying after-the-fact about having served.
They don't return calls, and the Operator at tehr Polsom, CA HQ is rude and snotty.
They seem to be begging for legal action.…
FPI Management's actions are unconsiounable.
FPI is the third management company to manage our apartment complex since I have been a resident. I moved in in 2007. We have also had three managers.
With every change in management, the rules of living in the complex change also. Of the three companies, FPI is the worst about introducing new rules, using them to terrorize residents, and following through with notices of eviction...even for minor actions. Rather than come to residents with minor issues, they descend like hawks and leave notices of eviction. I have told the manager that every morning when I open my kitchen window I am afraid to see that an envelope has been left stuck to my door. Living in fear is no way to live. If I have done something that offends or infringes on the many rules FPI has set for residents, I would prefer to discuss it with the manager BEFORE I receive a notice of eviction. I was told that the letters really mean nothing if I comply to whatever rule it is. But the letters DO remain in our files and there comes a time when management refers to them to supplement any current notices. This is against renter's law. Unfortunately, I have neither the money or the time to find a new place to live. So I must take what FPI dishes out with an attitude of compliance...even though inside I am totally fearful of being made to move. This is unfair. I've researched law and know that FPI is just barely inside of what laws there are. That doesn't make them a good management company...it just makes them vultures that play on the weakest links in the apartment complex.
The Christmas party was considered a success. That's one in four years of residency, and not hardly enough to make up for FPI's attitude of making money and treating residents like they are worthless.
I would never recommend living here to a friend. Come to think of it, I would never recommend living in an FPI-managed complex to anyone.…
Worst Property Management Company Ever!.
I have lived at Bella Vista in Richmond for several years, but now the FPI has taken over, I can't wait to leave.
My burglar alarm started to malfuction, and went off every 5 minutes during hte middle of the night. No one from maintenance would come, and I left several mesesages. It took 4 attempts to get someone to help me disable the alarm.
When I called their corporate office in Folson, the offical response was "it was low priority". Also, when I complained about the lack of upkeep on the pool, a leasing agent rolled her eyes at me.
Never, never, never rent from anyplace where FPI is the property management team.…
Chadwick Apartments - Do Not Rent.
Do not rent at this building. It is dirty and old. They use the cheapest materials to maintain what's broken and do not hire professionals to do the job right.
The Chadwick targets renting to unsuspecting USC students and immigrants who are taken in by the amenities and the outward appearance of the building. There are way too many people living in small units. You have six people of multiple generations stuffed into one bedroom units WITH animals on top of it. People walk their dogs without leashes and allow them to do their business on the interior hallway carpets. The only areas that receive deep cleaning are the areas next to the office.
Living at the Chadwick was more like living in a short term hotel than an apartment community. They don't even care that people don't renew their lease. The leasing people are arrogant and rude to the tenants once they have signed the lease. They are most certainly NOT professionals.
There are no security cameras. Apartments are burglarized and cars are being stolen and broken into regularly. The maintenance people think they are in charge of the building. They make up reasons to enter units unannounced for no reason without a phone call or written notice.
For the people who are still living at the Chadwick, I hope you get a new management soon. For those considering it, make the visit short and watch your belongings.…
Horrible management group. If you rent from them be prepare for them to enter your unit unannounced while your still in bed not feeling good. They have black mold in units and roaches.
